I am 2 days past my due date with an induction scheduled for December 6th at 41 weeks. I have everything prepared and feel like I'm just waiting! If you were overdue and done with work, how did you pass the time?

I was 5 days over. Passed the time by walking a lot, cleaning the house, and baking. Good luck!

I was not overdue, but I was off from work at 38 weeks and delivered at 39 weeks and 5 days.
I nested alot... Stocked the fridge, prepped her room, organized/cleaned our apt, etc... Had lunches/dinners/coffee dates with friends... Read up on natural childbirth... Went to prenatal yoga... and spent alot of quality time with my toddler since those were her last days as an only child!
ETA: oh I walked a ton too to try to get things going and to stay active... I walked everywhere!
Good Luck!

@ Mekarual Thanks! I am doing a lot of the same- baking, cleaning, laundry, walking. My house has never stayed this consistently clean!

I was on time. But everyone thought I'd be early, including the doctor. She kept telling me that she wouldn't see me at my next apt. So I still felt like I was just waiting and waiting.
I did a lot of walking. I felt like that would help get the baby in position and try to help get her out. I just tried to stay as active as possible.
Good luck!

@artbee It seemed as though every person we know thought we would go early too! I never thought we would but now people are acting like we are sooo late because they thought I would go early.

I was 4 days over due and was laid off 2 months ahead of time so I was extremely bored and watched just about everything on Hulu and Netflix I could find. I tried to look on the bright side that being bored was a luxury I would not have for very much longer! Good luck!!

I wasn't overdue, but I wanted to wish you luck! I hope that you go into labor naturally as I hear induction can be really hard. SO exciting though that you know that you will meet your LO in 6 days!

Oh! I will also add, enjoy it go out to eat with just your hubs. Watch movies together, cuddle, go get your toenails done. Enjoy your "you" time and time with your DH

Thanks Ladies!
@Andrea I have been done with work since 32 weeks so I am pretty much in the same boat you were. I fill my DVR with nonsense!
@rosiegirl I am very nervous about the possibility of induction. I'm praying I go into labor beforehand. Plus I just want the experience of going into labor naturally. I got a pedicure with my mom yesterday and am definitely enjoying the quality time with my DH. Every time we do something together I say "This could be the last time we do X!"

@wife09mommy11: Have you tried all the old wive's tales? I am sure you have, but if you haven't done it yet, drink some PURE raspberry leaf tea. Like, from the health food store. It says to only drink like 3 cups a day max, but I DOWNED that stuff all day long, and went into labor on the 3rd day. Same with my nurse. It doesn't taste bad either

@rosiegirl I have not tried the tea yet but I have tried just about everything else. No castor oil though. I may have to go out and get some tomorrow
