DH and I've spent the night away while my mom stayed with DS at our home at 12 weeks, 10 months, 11 months, but he's never slept away from home without us. He's 1.

DS1 was 4. His cousins had a sleepover at their grandpa's house and he was sad he didn't get to go (no one thought he'd want to) so the next weekend he decided he was going to. He loved it! So now he stays over at his grandpa's every now and then. DS2 is 22 months and hasn't yet and won't for a while I don't think.

9w. We had a wedding to go to and it was easier for us to drop DS off at my parents in the suburbs and stay all night than for them to come to us in the city and head home around midnight. We lived in a 1br so there was no place for them to stay.

We are going to leave DS with my parents for 3 days and 2 nights when he is 7 months old. I am a BM in a wedding we have to fly to and there is really no other solution unless I go to the wedding alone. It's a little sooner and longer than I would have liked, but ultimately I think it will be a really good thing for everyone but my parents who get a little overwhelmed if I leave DS with them for only a few hours!

At 7 1/2 months they stayed overnight with my parents at their house and at 8 month they stayed on night with my parents at our house while we were gone. Both went surprisingly well and DH and I had a really good time--we felt like "us" again.

Right around 16 months. My husband and I had spent the night away the month before, but my MIL stayed at our house. But in September I went to a 2 day music festival, and my husband went hunting, so our son stayed at my MIL's the first night.
