I really want to stick to my paleo diet for the Super Bowl party at our house...What are some paleo snacks that will keep me out of the chips and dip?
Organic red wine will be my only "allowed" rule-breaker!

Hhmmmhh.. I'm not paleo but I'm on a very restrictive diet because we are trying to figure out M's food intolerances. I'm going to make guacamole since all those ingredients are on my approved list.

I bug organic corn chips (they're just corn, usually sunflower oil, salt and lime), I'm not sure if they're technically paleo but pretty close. And some salsas are paleo- just have to find one with just veggies and spices, I second mamamoose on the guac! Yum!
Franks red hot sauce is also paleo- it's simply aged cayenne- you can still make buffalo wings with just that
Try making some veggie chips- sweet potato chips, kale chips, beet chips, zucchini chips etc... Some are really good!

I was going to suggest buffalo wings too! You can just add redhot to grilled chicken strips/wings but I usually bread my chicken in some coconut flour and seasoning, bake them and them pour redhot over. It's yummy!

@Running Elley: yumm! I made carrot chips after seeing your IG photo of them and I figured they would be like roasted carrots but if they are really thinly sliced, they are really good! Very chip like.
We're having a veggie tray (not creative, I don't have time lately to get creative!) I might search trader joe's for some gluten free snacks. My Paleo diet book says it's okay to cheat once a week, just make sure it's gluten free.

@HLK208: Those are one of my favorite snacks! Did you use coconut oil?

@Running Elley: I used a little extra virgin olive oil, sea salt and ground pepper! Mmm.

Fruit/vege kebabs? Sliders/burgers with lettuce leaf "buns"? One of my favorite things to have when we were over in Samoa were their root vegetable crisps - arrowroot, parsnip, taro, etc, thinly sliced and fried til crispy in coconut oil. Yum!

Any sort of flavored nuts would be good. You could get almonds, toss them in a seasoned oil, then bake them.
Meatballs are good. Wrap them in bacon! Serve with some kind of a mustard.
Sweet potatoes make good "chips", as do zucchinis.
Guacamole deviled eggs...I like to use avocado instead of mayo. The green filling is delicious!!! I like it with a bit of lime. You can sprinkle chopped bacon on top. They're quite good and filling, too.
Apples and a paleo dip (with honey). Or any fruit, really.
Turkey roll-ups with cucumber, avocado, etc inside
Melon balls with proscuitto

Not technically paleo on account of the cream cheese, but DH makes jalapenos stuffed with cream cheese and wrapped in bacon - delicious!

Bacon-wrapped dates!!! Always a crowd pleaser.
I'd go with veggies and dip, meatballs or kebabs, devilled eggs, and some sort of root vegetable chip. Unfortunately corn is a grain so corn chips are out :(.

Can I buy paleo chips instead of baking them??? Or is it super easy to make myself?
