Do you think this is funny or cruel? I think it's terrible. That poor boy probably thought he was going to die.

I think that's horrific. I can't imagine being so cruel to my child. I don't even understand how they think that's funny.
I don't think I have the same sense of humor that others do that find this kind of thing amusing...

Omg, that is AWFUL. That poor kid I don't understand parents who find entertainment in doing pranks like this that upset their kids so much.

@blackbird: That was literally my first thought when I read the title of this thread. Ha. But seriously, WTF?!

What's next, for Christmas he'll be receiving a letter that says he has tested positive for AIDs? Hilarious, right? /sarcasm

I think it's awful and in poor taste for children who are really suffering from this disease. Also how does this effect the poor child? Does he lose trust in his parents? Does he turn around and play the same "joke" on his friends scaring them? Does it make him less sympathetic and empathetic to children on the news who are suffering?

That is just disgusting that his parents would do that and then upload it.

Wtf.. not a great joke/prank for that kid. I want to give him a hug
On that note. Would you like to hear a joke about Ebola? You probably won't get it.

My dad did stuff like this all the time when we were little. I never thought it was a big deal. Now I would have been super pissed/ embarrassed if he then uploaded footage of me getting upset or spooked.

I think the ebola joke is pretty tasteless but what is more messed up is uploading a video of your child's reaction on the internet for it to go viral so all his little friends can make fun of him for crying.

@blackbird: This, exactly.
Poor kid, what asshats he has for parents. I hope he has some loving grandparents or extended family members to give him hugs and reassure him.
