Ugh, I'm sorry, that's so frustrating! I've had a couple TV shows spoiled for (Game of Thrones and The Walking Dead) because of people posting about it IMMEDIATELY on Facebook. I guess it's my fault for being on social media, but still, it sucks. I'm sorry that happened to you. And someone intentionally masking their spoiler as something else just to trick people is really asshole behavior.

That's just not cool!

@Adira: I also have had game of thrones spoilers but it was way after the fact- I started watching after the first season was over so I can only blame myself. I think when something is new people should be extra careful about spoilers. After something has been around a few weeks it's on the viewer to be careful.

So sorry that happened to you people do suck.
We can't see it until Sunday, and my husband literally uninstalled Facebook this morning to avoid spoilers. He won't even watch trailers for it because he wants to go in knowing nothing.

That blows! Fantasy Sci-Fi movies are so much more fun when you know very little going into it.

People do suck. This is the only Star Wars spoiler that should be allowed.

@.twist.: Just went to look that up, but the reviews say it blocks too aggressively and makes using Chrome almost unuseable. Bummer!

I accidentally have spoiled myself and my husband on sports games. Oops.

I've also gotten texts from people regarding big games and then been spoiled (was not planning on watching live when the game was at 4am). Not a huge deal though.

I'm weird. I seek out spoilers. I don't know why. I hate being surprised. For example, DH and I like to watch Top Chef together but aren't always timely. There are many times where he'll tell me that he saw who got booted on Twitter. I usually make him tell me. Honestly it doesn't ruin anything for me. Again, I'm weird. But I totally get why people would be upset and am very careful not to spoil anything for anyone.

I just find it so rude when people want to try to ruin someone else's experience. I know a spoiler for a movie, TV show, sports game, etc. shouldn't be a big deal but let people have their fun and excitement experiencing it for the first time!

I totally understand people that hate spoilers because my husband hates them but I don't mind spoilers... in fact I like them. I think I don't like being surprised. Like a surprise party is my personal nightmare type of thing. To each their own. I definitely would try my best not spoil things for people that hate spoilers! (I had a few oops with DH... very few though!)

I was reading on Facebook about the new Big Bang Theory episode tonight, and someone posted a huge Star Wars spoiler. I am pissed.

We are seeing the movie on Saturday. I am going to have to be more careful so I don't get spoiled anymore.

@.twist.: Ugh, people do suck. I just read that you can install browser plugins to block all SW-related news! Might have to do that...
