This is a great thread! I have Valentine's Day, our 5 year wedding anniversary, my birthday, and DS2's arrival in February, March, April, and May so I have to come up with junk for DH to get me! I've always wanted the Tiffany ladybug charm on a chain, so maybe I'll get one and add a letter charm for each kiddo.

I have one similar to this but with just one tiny heart instead of the round disc. I really like this one too, for when future LO #2 arrives

@chopsuey: Pulling up this old thread bc I'm in search of a new initial necklace now that my daughter is here. With this necklace, do you find that the letters flip over and need to be fixed frequently? Thx!

@pregnantbee: hi!!! The letters don't really flip, but the necklace rotates around my neck when I sleep / throughout the day, so I have to adjust at least once a day. I have the 16" chain .. Might be different with a longer chain!

I also have a Maya Brenner and I have worn it every day since I got it as a bday gift from my best friend almost two years ago (my bday was a few months after LO #1 was born). She has yanked on it soooo many times and it has never broken (white gold). I will be getting another one with LO#2's initial after he is born. I will just wear the two necklaces layered. That necklace helped me so much when I went back to work - I would touch the letter every time I missed my baby and it helped me for some reason. Weird, I guess, but you do what you have to!

@pregnantbee: mine is the 16" and I love the length. My just-turned-2-yr-old learned the first letter of her name months ago (before I weaned her at 17 mos) due to her fascination with holding the letter on this necklace while she nursed. I think she felt very proud when I explained I wear the special necklace every day because it is "her" letter.

@stratosphere: Awwwwww! My 4yo felt the same way when I showed him I wore his letter. I do have a necklace with just his initial, too
I'm worried that 16" is too short for me. I tend to like 17", but I don't know if they can do that.

I haven't had a chance to post it, but I got initial pieces from this etsy shop. I wear them all of the time too. I got a "mrs" necklace for myself and my bestie too. The owner's fantastic to work with. Right now, she's making me a 7th anniversary necklace in copper with roman numerals.
