DH and I are in a battle (okay not really but we are disagreeing on this one.) Which would you prefer as a guest at a lunch time birthday party: pizza or sub sandwiches?
(cost is the same to us, so that is not a factor)

I prefer pizza with an option of having salad along with the meal. But I'm not a fan of sandwiches on general, unless they are toasted and warm

Pizza! I feel like it'd be a little harder/messier to eat a sub esp if I can't sit down!

Pizza! I'm not a fan of Sub sandwiches unless it's Jersey Mikes. Most samples have too much crunchy bread and the insides fall out.

@Freckles: ditto! We'll be ordering pizza for the kids and then pizza and subs for the adults. Of course, kids are more than welcomed to have subs too!

Pizza! Too many options for sandwiches and you can't please everyone. I feel like everyone loves pizza, even just basic cheese & sauce.

I'm very picky about what's on my subs so I will say pizza any day.

Pizza since it still tastes good at room temperature but sandwiches get mushy and soggy quick or the bread gets dried up.

Pizza is definitely easier and a crowd pleaser but I feel like everyone serves pizza at kid parties and I appreciate when someone does something different, so I voted sandwiches! I'd serve condiments on the side (you can just get mustard & mayo packets) so they don't get soggy.

Subs, I like pizza but I think that's too boring, I like the variety of sandwiches (good sandwiches).

Pizza...sandwiches are hard to please, I feel like everyone has different tastes

Definitely sandwiches. I'm not a fan of most fast food pizzas. Way too greasy. I feel like I shouldn't eat more than one slice but then I'm still hungry.

Pizza because my kids don't like sandwiches.

i think both are great options i personally prefer sandwiches (you can get the roll-ups at Costco for pretty cheap), but i think most kids, including my own, would eat pizza better

Picky eater here. I usually have to go hungry if there's sandwiches because they have lettuce, tomatoes, and/or onions. All of those leave behind so much nasty flavor even if you take them off that I can't eat them. Pizza is much safer.

Pizza. It's wayyyy more edible after a couple hours out. Also...pizza! Yum yum

How is this even a question?! Obviously, pizza!
Sandwiches are boring, and too hard to please everyone. Who doesn't love pizza?!

Pizza! Seems less likely to spoil and generally safer. I don't like lunch meat and know others who don't. I would basically starve.
Oh and if there are any pregnant women or vegetarians, seems like a safe bet to have a plain cheese pizza.
If you're really torn could you do half and half?

@LuLu Mom: I'm curious which one of you was team pizza and which was team sandwiches

What about DIY sub platters with everything separate? I'm allergic to milk so tearing apart a slice of pizza is more work than taking cheese out of a sandwich.

@Truth Bombs: I'm sandwich, he's pizza And we decided I win hahhaha!

I'm picky with subs because I don't like cheese on mine or a various sauces. But still admit huge subs look awesome.

Definitely a sub. I have dairy allergies and can just take the cheese off of a sandwich - can't do that with pizza. But that is a very personal reason to vote for subs.
