A complete previa was detected at my anatomy scan at 18 weeks and my placenta is still in the same position now at 28.5 weeks. My Dr was hoping it would move before the 3rd tri because it is unlikely to move a lot after that. I am going to have another RCS but there is talk about a possible hysterectomy (if there is also an accreta) and earlier delivery.
Did your placenta end up moving before your delivery? I hope there is still time for me!

Following this! I have a partial previa right now at 14 weeks, and while they assure me it most likely will move, they also said I'm at high risk for accrata in which case I would have a C-section/hysterectomy at 34 weeks. I hope yours moves!! Isn't nature weird- why would our bodies do that to us?

My first pregnancy, mine moved before 28 weeks. I go next week to see if it has moved for this pregnancy. It is not a huge concern with this pregnancy since I will have a scheduled c section.

One of my friends went through this a few months ago. Hers was still there at 28 weeks, but by her 32 week ultrasound it had moved. She ended up having her baby at 39 weeks with no complications!

I had partial previa that was discovered at 20 weeks and resolved at 28 weeks.

I have marginal previa that was also discovered at my 20 week anatomy scan. Doctor didn't seem concerned. We are going to recheck at 28 weeks and he said 99% of the time it will move up and away. Thoughts are with you! I hope that yours moves up!

I had complete previa at my 20 week scan and was told to plan on a c-section at around 38 weeks. But it moved by 34 or 36 weeks (can't remember exactly) and I had a vaginal delivery with no complications. I'm hopeful for you!!
ETA: I was having monthly scans, and it moved a little bit with each scan until they found it had resolved.

I had partial placenta previa but it resolved itself by 28 weeks.

@autumnlove: I’m curious as to what happened to your previa. I’m 21 weeks and a partial previa was detected but I also have a history of accreta so there was talk of a c-section and a hysterectomy as a worst case scenario. I’m really hoping this resolves on its own before I become full term.

@Shantuck: I had a partial with my son that was pretty close to complete. It was detected at 21 weeks, and by my 32 week recheck it had moved completely off my cervix. I don't have a history of accreta though, so I don't know how much that effects it.
