Has anyone been diagnosed with placenta previa...aka placenta is too low to the cervix or even totally covering it? I was told "no love making" lol, but I wanted to see if anyone has had this in the past and if it resolved itself like some of the articles lead me to believe. I'm 11 week and 2 days. Thanks in advance ladies!

No personal experience, but I know many times it "resolves" in that as your uterus grows they can see that the placenta is actually attached higher and moves away from the cervix! I hope that's the case for you!

My placenta was very low (not touching my cervix, but close enough that it was worrisome) at 20 weeks and it moved up by 26 weeks. I think at 11 weeks you still have plenty of time for it to move. My midwife said that generally the placenta will move as the uterus grows.

You have plenty of time for it to move. I would not be worried.

Mine was low and stayed that way for so long that we actually scheduled a c-section! I saw an MFM regularly for other reasons and at 34 weeks it had finally moved up enough. By then it had actually moved up significantly!

At 11 weekds I would give it time to move. That said I had placenta previa with both pregnancy. With pregnancy 1, it moved by 20 weeks. With pregnancy 2, it moved but not enough since it was way too close to my cervix. It was hard to stay abstinent from sex for the whole pregnancy, so we occasionally ignored doctors orders. I luckily never bleed or had any complications during either pregnancies

I wouldn't really even give it a second thought at 11 weeks.

I was told it almost always resolves itself and they aren't even remotely concerned until 28 weeks.

I had a low lying placenta that was found at my first ultrasound at 19 weeks. It resolved itself! at 11 weeks I definitely wouldn't worry

I had it and didn't find out until 20 weeks. It was completely moved out of the way by 28 weeks. I wouldn't worry!

I got diagnosed with a complete placenta previa at 21-22 weeks. My doctor was super overprotective so I was put on pelvic rest, told to take it easy, not to lift anything over 10 pounds, and not do anything strenuous whatsoever to avoid any kind of bleeding. But my doctor told me he really couldn't give any information until the 28 week scan because it was between 20-28 weeks where the uterus would expand the most and we could see where it really ended up. I got rescanned at 29 weeks and it had moved completely out of the way. If it hadn't, he would have rescanned me at 32 weeks, then 34, then 36 weeks right before a scheduled C-section (unless it had moved to a marginal previa, in which case my C-section would have been bumped to 38 weeks).
At 11 weeks, I think the uterus is just too small to know where the placenta truly is in relation to where you'll be at labor.
So I wouldn't worry about it right now. Just take it easy. -
my ultrasound dr said this to me at my NT - partial previa so I needed pelvic rest. went to my OB for a regular visit a couple days later and she said no one should be diagnosing previa until around 20 weeks at least, since the uterus is so small and there's tons of time for things to move. she told me to have lots of sex and do whatever I wanted

i also had it early on but luckily it resolved itself too so didn't have to have a c-section. then my daughter was breech up until the very end but that's another story

Mine was too low at 18 wks but fine by 24. No big deal!

Mine resolved itself, can't remember around what week though.

I had it at 18 weeks and was told it would likely resolve. I would t worry at your point (I'm 21 weeks and not worried about it yet).

I had partial placenta previa until fairly late in my pregnancy. It resolved itself still with time to spare.

I had marginal placenta previa that did NOT resolve. I ended up bleeding at 36.5 weeks and had an emergency c- section, baby was completely fine (as was I).

I had the same diagnosis at 13 weeks, and was told it would likely move. It moved to just "low lying placenta" by my 19-week anatomy scan, and was totally out of the way by 24 weeks. I think the doc said about 2/3 of people who have previa/low lying placenta in earlier pregnancy have it resolve on its own, and I was luckily in that 2/3. I was on pelvic rest for two months, but have since been released from it:-).
