I was trying SO hard to be all chill about it this month, but no, I'm already trying to analyze everything and I even tested yesterday, BFN, DUH!! Gah! I need the next 9 days to just speed by... I fee like an idiot for skipping my temping for a few days. I know I ovulated because my temp had spiked when I temped again, but I have no idea WHEN. I could be anywhere from 6-9DPO. Oh well.
cantaloupe / 6791 posts
Does anyone else have temps still above the cover line during AF? I'm on CD 4 and only one temp has been low (CD 2), the next 2 temps have been above last month's cover line. It's confusing me. I got pregnant the first cycle I charted so I don't really know what's normal for my body when it comes to this. Then again, I could be still wacky from the m/c.

@littleteacherbee: I'm not sure about the temps above coverline. My appear to stay above or near coverline, however, this is only my 3rd cycle since a mc so I might not be the best person to answer. I just wanted to say that my cycles were crazy after (40+ days, ovulating on cd 30) but this month it went back to kinda normal (ovulated cd 21). Hang in there!
cantaloupe / 6791 posts
@alison206: my cycle last month was 35 days which is the shortest since I've been off BC. I'm hoping it was just the BC that made my cycles crazy from Feb-June and maybe now it will be semi-normal. But I know m/c can make them long too, so I guess we'll have to wait and see.
Fingers crossed for you this month too!

I don't understand what my body is doooooing. AF is now 2 days late but I got a BFN yesterday... My body is playing a very cruel joke on me. Sigh. I just want AF to hurry up so I can get into the next cycle. I'll test again tomorrow if AF still hasn't arrived.
pomelo / 5041 posts
@Hanzabelle: That's exactly what happened to me.. You could either just have a late AF or be one of those really late hCG'ers. Keep your fingers crossed for the latter.
nectarine / 2522 posts
@ambular1025: it's so frustrating..... Urgh. I don't even feel like AF is coming. I just feel super tired and that's it. Why are our bodies so cruel. I hope u have better luck this cycle!!
pomelo / 5041 posts
@Hanzabelle and @Alison206: Do you ever think that now knowing what we know about our cycles we'd be better off stopping charting and everything else and just living like we weren't pregnant and not trying to be? I think in that case we'd just one day go, oh! my period was due a week ago. I'm too controlling to do this but I wish I could.
nectarine / 2522 posts
@ambular1025: this is my husbands theory... he thinks if we just let nature do its thing we'll get pregnant... which yes thats true but with such a small fertile period, I want this baby like yesterday...I'm too impatient to just "go with the flow"

Hey yall! I need my date moved up on the list. I O'd today on CD12! After a very long cycle last month after my MC, I guess I'm back to my normal cycle. Sept 14th will be 12 DPO, so I'll test then for sure, but I will probably start around the 12th. Now, to try and keep busy until then.

@Ambular1o25: I feel the opposite for me! I NEED to know what's going on with my body, otherwise I will worry myself stupid!! For example, I'm on CD21 and still haven't O'd yet. By my calcualtions (based on "typical" cycles) AF should be due next week. If I hadn't been charting and OPKing then I would be convinced I'm pg next weekend - and devastated when I got AF, like, 10 days later!!!

@ambular1025 @hanzabelle: I do think that. I was laying in bed last night thinking that. They my control freakness comes into play and my what ifs. What if I don't get pregnant for a year and a doctor asks about my cycles. I'll have NO idea. And after coming off of our d&c my cycles were really messed up and my doctor wanted to give it two more before running tests. Plus I'm crazy and I need to feel like I'm giving 120% to getting pregnant. I'm sure DH would rather go with the flow.

@Ali: I feel the exact same way as you. AF would be late and I'd play the what if game constantly. Charting gives me much more peace of mind.

@Ali, @Grace, @Hanzabelle, and @Alison206: I'm in agreement with all of you. While I had said it would be nice (from a stress free point of view) there is NO WAY I personally could do it. My husband knows that I couldn't go a day without temping and monitoring and charting and such. And I agree that this is the way to ensure a high likelihood of pregnancy, and helps our doctors recognize the problems when there are some.

@Ali: your doing a great job!!!
@ambular1025: @Grace: @alison206: I don't think I could stop charting. I like knowing what's going on. It brings a certain peace of mind with its unending insanity. Plus because we are charting my OB set us up for a "check up" if we aren't pregnant by early december. So it definately has its perks.

@sweetchic: oooh, I'm sorry! So disappointing! You're on clomid this cycle, right? Do you know if you Oed?

I need to vent for a moment. We went to the ILs for a cookout today, normally his family is extremely pushy about why we haven't had a baby yet (like putting their hands on my babyless abdomin kinda of crazy), but today I found out his aunt is pregnant again. Obviously I'm happy for her, but she's older than we are, her husband lives abroad, she has 2 kids already, and is pretty dependent on family to support them. I know it was cruel & irrational, but I wanted to cry :*( I'm on friggin CD62, still no O and her hubby comes to visit for a month & leaves a lil souvenir! I guess DH knew she was pregnant but didn't want to tell me, which I understand, I wouldn't want to tell me either, but I wish he had. I wish I had some time to process before trying to act happy for her. Thanks for letting me vent. I just needed to get that out. I am happy for her, I'm just having a stupid TTC pity party moment!

Out of curiosity, how do you ladies pick your POAS date? I put mine as the day AF is due...and I'm already thinking it will be earlier than that, esp with my cheapies on the way!
apricot / 367 posts
@maybebaby: I do it based on the day that my AF is due! My last BFP didn't come until the day of, not before, so I don't test until then now!
apricot / 367 posts
@mrs. bird: Oh dear, pity party away!! It can be so frustrating when things like that happen. I once had a friend who tried to make herself miscarry when she was 9 weeks pregnant by drinking a lot and over exercising and doing all kinds of things to try and lose the baby. I was also pregnant at the time and ended up having a miscarriage at 16 weeks. She ended up having a healthy baby boy and has had two more successful pregnancies to my 4 miscarriages. It can be so hard seeing things come so easy to people when it's so difficult for you and it's something you want more than anything else in the world. So, vent on honey, I completely understand! I hope that your cycle shortens and you get that O!

AF is still 3 days late and a got a BFN this morning. Urgggh I'm over it, I'm not testing again.
pomelo / 5041 posts
@Mrsbird and @Mrsdoily: I totally understand. I have friends who are all recently married or about to get married and all I can think is: what am I going to do when they get pregnant before me?! Like I'll want to be happy for them but I'm going to be really upset. It's not a race, but with someone new announcing a pregnancy on FB each day, I just start getting really jealous.
And @mrsdoily I can NOT believe that woman trying to miscarry and continuing to have babies. Oh how I would be upset if I were you.
pomelo / 5041 posts
@Hanzabelle: I'm sorry. I was in your shoes a few days ago and felt your pain. Any spotting yet? If not, then I'm thinking maybe don't get upset yet. 3 days post AF is a good sign regardless of the test.
apricot / 367 posts
@ambular1025: It really hurt a lot, which is part of the reason why we are not friends anymore. After he was born she became this super mom, which is fantastic, I'm happy that she did, but it still hurt. Especially because I wanted my pregnancy and yet I was the one who lost it and still has not had a child. I also have people left and right announcing their pregnancies and births and I get jealous quite a bit. I know it's not a race, but for some reason your biological clock says otherwise.
cantaloupe / 6923 posts
@sweetchic: NOt out til AF comes!!! Fingers crossed for you!
@mrs. bird: Had the same thing happen when my little sister announced her pregnancy to the family earlier last month
@maybebaby: I put mine as my AF date if my cycle was to be as long as last months cycle, it puts me at 20dpo so not sure what will happen or if I will be albe to wait that long.
@mrsdoily: Oh wow, I wouldn't know how to handle a friend like that. Sorry to hear that!
@Hanzabelle: Can you call your doctor and have a blood test? I know it's so frustrating
nectarine / 2522 posts
@ambular1025: @anonysquire: No spotting ... It's so frustrating.. I'll give it to the end of the week. I'm sure AF will come soon. I just want it to hurry up so we can get this next cycle started!!
cantaloupe / 6923 posts
@Hanzabelle: Well some people can't get a positive til like 15-17dpo. I had the same thing happen last month though, 18dpo and still no period so I called my doc and they wanted me to come in for a blood test and to start provera to bring on a period and then right before my appointment AF started... dangit!
nectarine / 2522 posts
@anonysquire: I'm a grumpy cow at the moment though so AF must definatley be around the corner.
