    @sandy: Do you think you ovulated early? Or late? I usually ovulate around CD 12 - 14 and have 27 day cycle.

    @MrsMcD: lol ya thankful DH seems to have finally caught his own case of the baby rabies and now he is willing to do anything!

    @sandy: just try to think positively! Anybody else read this article about how much positive and negative thoughts can influence things in the real world? Super cool! I've been banishing all negativity since I read it. If this isn't our month, it's not bc we are broken, we just weren't supposed to get pregnant yet!

    @littlek: My cycle is 26-28 days (almost always 27 days but sometimes is a day early or late). FF has my O date as CD 14/15 and the 2-3 days before as fertile days depending on whether I notice EWCM. I'm CD 13 today and FF has my O day as CD 14

  6. littlek

    GOLD / squash / 13576 posts

    @sandy: Your cycle is pretty similar to mine, I get my first positive OPK around CD 13 and FF puts my O date as CD14.

    @sarahnicole218: good luck with the BDing! I hope the sickness doesn't hang around too long. But don't forget that you can BD without touching mouths... I'm just sayin'....

    @sandy: The positive OPK is great! But I'm not sure what you are concerned about. If you got the positive today, then that mean you will likely ovulate tomorrow. And if FF has your ovulation marked for tomorrow, isn't that just right on the money??

    @buttermilk: Its awesome when the guys get the baby rabies!!

    @sandy: I agree with mrsmcd you seem to be in great shape!

    Ladies I got this opk this am. Does it look positive to you? Today is cd12 and I don't normally ovulate until 14 or 15 so it seems early to me.

    cantaloupe / 6687 posts

    @MrsMcD: I guess i was thinking the OPK might tell me a different O day than FF (like maybe I O late) and that would explain why our previous cycles weren't successful. Basically it's telling me what FF said and we've already been BD on those days. But I'm going to stay positive

    @sandy: I know it sucks. I keep hoping the reason we aren't pregnant was bad timing.. Sadly our timing has been great past few times. Just unlucky

    GOLD / pomegranate / 3938 posts

    @sandy: Okay. I get what you are saying now. But stay positive, lady! Sometimes timing and everything can be perfect, but the sperm still doesn't meet the egg, or the embryo isn't right for implanting. So much of it is just completely out of our control. Be positive and go with the flow... until you want to completely disrupt the flow and see an RE...

    @littlek: let me know if your CBFM tells you anything different. I'm really hoping you get your BFP with it...and then I'll go get one too!

    @buttermilk: I think it looks equally dark as the other line, so yes. But, i'd keep testing to see if it gets darker and then fade to negative just to be sure.

    @buttermilk: I love that My husband goes to a lot of conferences where there is always some motivational speaker (but really good ones!) and the guy who wrote the book Outliers was there and spoke about the power of positive thinking and how it's been shown that employees who engaged in an exercise to write down 3 positive things every morning had higher productivity and job satisfaction. I also believe being positive affects your health and general happiness

    @MrsMcD: yeah, it's so much more than timing! It's crazy how complicated/time consuming/expensive it can be!

    AF finally showed today, so here we go!

    Estimated O Date: 2/13
    POAS/AF date: 2/26
    Cycle #: 5 post MC, 7 total
    Trying new this cycle: 2nd cycle without clomid after three cycle with it. Didn't temp last cycle, but I will this cycle. I also want to ask my Dr for a blood test to check my progesterone levels after I ovulate.
    Are you planning on doing anything for Valentines day? We usually stay in and cook. I'm hoping we can have a night away in a hotel (we have one free night from hotels.com) the day after vday.

    I've been considering a CBFM too, FX it works for you!

    @sandy: I have been trying hard to be more positive lately, but have never thought of writing it down. That is a great idea!

    I downloaded this app the other day called Happier. It's a social gratitude journal! Encourages you to write down things you are grateful for each day and you can see what other ppl write too, so maybe that would be a good tool for us!

    @sandy: I'm currently 6 DPO on this cycle. I will definitely try the CBFM next cycle (if we don't get lucky this cycle). I'm kinda blah this cycle.. I go inbetween positive thoughts to figuring out what we should change next cycle.

    @Crystal: I'm not sure. Actually, my husband thinks we should do clomid again, so I'm going to.

    Iz thread crashing.
    I have been writing down my daily gratitudes and affirmations for quite sometime now. It helps immensely.
    Do you think it would be help if we started a thread to share daily happiness? I think I would like that. Thoughts?

  27. sandy

    cantaloupe / 6687 posts

    @littlek: yeah I keep thinking of things to change. Let's change positions! Let's take vitamins! Let's drink more water! Let's change our diet! I can see how it gets exhausting after awhile... Hopefully this is our month

    @HolisticMama: I love that idea! it would help me stay accountable if I saw it pop up here.

    @mrs. tictactoe: would you start next cycle?

    @littlek: I'm doing the same thing. I almost expect to get a bfn now, even while remaining hopeful for a BFP.

  29. mrs. tictactoe

    blogger / pomegranate / 3201 posts

    @Crystal: no, this cycle. I was already doing it and he said I could do it 7 months in a row.

    @buttermilk: I am jumping right on board with your whole happy/positive energy vibe this cycle. I am really really having a hard time with it, but I want to convince myself and my body to promote being fertile and work towards pregnancy. At the same time, I want to get to a place that if it doesn't happen, i'll be ok too.

    @littlek: @crystal: @sandy:

    One thing I did differently last month was that I of course let myself symptom spot and obsess for the first half of tww. But after about 8dpo, when I felt exactly the same as always, instead of staying in the present, I just went straight to the next month in my mind. Usually I feel like I hold on to hope for so long that by the time I get AF it's too late to make any major changes for next month. So this time I was just like screw it, I'm not waiting, pretty sure I'm not pregnant so let's start these diet changes and crazy vitamins/supplements now! And it did help! And now I feel like we are in a great place for this month.

  32. littlek

    GOLD / squash / 13576 posts

    @buttermilk: that's a great idea!

    @CupQuakeWalk: good for you! DH and I have really adopted this whole "everything is happening for a reason" and more importantly "we are exactly where we are supposed to be right now" mantra over the past 9 months and it's affecting my whole life! we have had too many coincidences in the past year for it to not be true. So I really believe that we will get pregnant exactly when we are supposed to. Of course I want it to happen now and so am doing all I can to make it happen, but if our baby is conceived in another six months I know that it will all have been a part of the grand plan. we are just waiting on the baby we are supposed to get!

    Anybody else ever feel like looking back on all the months you didn't get pregnant, in hindsight there may have been a reason or two why it wouldn't have been the ideal timing? I think about that a lot and can usually find a reason why I'm actually glad it hadn't happened yet.

    @buttermilk: hmm good idea!

    @buttermilk: I literally journal silver linings for every bfn or in my case chemical. I didn't really want to be sick at Christmas, this made work easier this month, etc. Of course I do the opposite too and spend the beginning of each cycle thinking about why the timing would be great!
    In the end the timing for my daughter was not what I would have originally picked but it felt perfect

  36. Miss Sarah

    persimmon / 1259 posts

    @buttermilk: I have done this for my own sanity! I like to find the reasons it was good that I wasn't pregnant. I went to Vegas, my sister got married, felt great during the holidays, etc. But I also have mourned the moments when I thought it would be the perfect time of year to announce my pregnancy, have a baby shower, or had a due date that have now passed. I'm approaching the one year mark, so I'll be starting all of that planning all over again.

    In other news, I'm fairly certain today is O day. I had little cramps last night and my EWCM is crazy today, the CP is HSO and my OPK went back to negative, after a strong positive yesterday. We BD'd last night, so I'm feeling good about that! Now I'm just anxious about getting a temp rise tomorrow!

    @bhbee: @sarahnicole218: glad you guys find that helpful too! Anything to keep me from going down the dark spiral haha.

    @sarahnicole218: yeah I bet you o'd today!

    I have an O question. I always get confused. So yesterday AM I had a positive, test was same as control. Then yesterday PM I had a positive, much darker than control. Now this morning they are the same strength again. Sooo do you think they means today is my O day? Or could it still be Friday. Just confused bc everything seems to be happening a day earlier than usual. Sometimes I O later but not usually before.

    We are trying to stick to eod this month and we bd last night. And I was thinking about doing it again tomorrow morning just to play it safe. So many decisions, so little control!
