POAS Thread 6 months + TTC: February Flutters

    @buttermilk: I'd BD to be safe.

    @sandy: I'm 7 DPO but I don't have any symptoms, so I'm not incredibly hopeful this cycle.

    @littlek: I hate the TWW...it sucks. Keep yourself busy with your party plans this weekend. I feel like I've convinced myself I have symptoms only to have AF show up...so maybe an absence of symptoms is a positive? I has zero symptoms the cycle I got pregnant with LO...I was shocked it was positive

    We leave tomorrow morning (6am flight) so we'll say goodbye to LO tonight and my mom is staying the night to wake up with her

    @buttermilk: ditto what littlek said. One more time never hurts!

    @littlek: you never know

    Our timing this month sucks. DH has a crazy schedule bringing him home around 3am and getting up five hours later for work again. It just doesn't feel right cutting into his sleep hours when he has such a long day...it will be a weekend marathon of BD'ing and hoping I don't O until Sunday or Monday. Sigh.

    @sandy: Yes, every other cycle I've picked apart how I was feeling to no avail, so I'm just trying to be somewhat withdrawn. I would love if this was our cycle but I won't be heartbroken (like I was last month) if it isn't our cycle. I am starting to convince myself we WILL get a BFP, it will happen.

    @sandy: Awww, make sure to get lots of TLC tonight before she goes to bed!

    @buttermilk: I was told to use the first + as the start of the surge. I would keep BDing, just to be safe.

    @sandy: You're suppose to get some decent weather for Sunday! They're saying low 40s to mid-30s. That's practically a heat wave at this point!

  8. sandy

    cantaloupe / 6687 posts

    @LindsayInNY: I'm so excited for the "warm" weather! We can handle 30-40...single digits just scare me. Thanks again for all your tips

    @littlek: hugs lady...it will happen!

    So I just had my day 15 ultrasound, follicles need to grow one more day so I will be triggering tomorrow and IUI on Saturday!

    I can now fill this out...

    Estimated O Date: Friday Jan 31st
    POAS/AF date: Friday Feb 14th
    Cycle #: 19
    Chart link: in my profile
    Trying new this cycle: freezing DH's sperm for a backup, in case he is not able to provide a sample on the day of the IUI. No more cancelled cycles!! Yay!!
    Are you planning on doing anything for Valentines day?
    We don't do anything exciting. Not going to get my hopes up and so I'm going to assume this IUI won't work. If I get excited about a possible BFP, the heartbreak after devastates me. For me, I can't get too excited. For now, just concentrating on getting unpacked and enjoying living in a house now with a yard for the doggies!

    I am becoming a long-shot to get to POAS in Feb, my beta today was the same, which doesn't tell me anything I didn't know about viability, but also doesn't tell me anything about when I'll get my post-chemical AF.
    however, I have lots of positive energy to cheer you all on! I'm ready to see some long-awaited BFPS on here

    @buttermilk: I think your test yesterday PM was the +. I always thought that test=control is negative (it has to be darker than the control line).

    @littlek: I've been very withdrawn these past few cycles' TWW and it's helped immensely when AF showed.

    @bluestriped bee: Exciting! Good luck on Saturday!

    After a few cycles of not stressing during the TWW...I had something very unique happen today. Spotting. Not my usual pre-AF brown-ish spotting...but 2 dark pink/red spots this morning (and nothing else since). I'm 8dpo. Aaaaaaaaaaah I've never had spotting like this before so I am, of course, freaking! (implantation!?)

    @doxielove: I hope it's implantation! Sounds promising.

    I thought I'd be better at keeping up with a divided board like this, but I feel like I'm failing!

    @buttermilk: I don't think that O can ever really be confirmed. But for sure you need to BD to get pregnant so I always think BDing more is better than BDing less. If you are thinking about doing it, just do it!

    @littlek: I think the mostly people do NOT get pregnancy symptoms during the TWW. So don't be discouraged!

    @bluestriped bee: That's great that you have a confirmed plan in place! Hooray for no more cancelled cycles!!

    @bluestriped bee: what an exciting week!

    I have been feeling pinching at my left ovary today, I'm only CD4 though so hoping it doesn't just mean I do have a cyst... Have a doctors appointment on Tuesday where I will be booked in for another U/S so we will see.

    Figures DH decides to be a jerk right as we're nearing O. I don't want to be BDing while he has this attitude but ugh, seriously?! I want to kick him right now.

    @bluestriped bee: how exciting! FX!

    @doxielove: oh my gosh!!! I hope that's what it is!!!

    @littlek: I'm psyching myself out because I don't have any either. But, like someone said above, not many people do. I have faith for us both!

  26. CupQuakeWalk

    coconut / 8475 posts

    @LindsayInNY: so many times I've had to bite my tongue during O week so DH and I wouldn't fight before bed. Why do they chose that week to be annoying?

  27. Crystal

    grapefruit / 4028 posts

    @LindsayInNY: oh, ugh, I'm sorry. DHs can be dumb sometimes.

    Question.... My first response digital opk (new to me) clearly says yes this am..I usually buy the regular one w 2 lines. So should we BD tonight and tomorrow? No CM yet??? And no mid cycle pain- cd 13. .... I just don't trust this test - I O'd last two cycles around cd16 .... maybe I'll check w the old tests I have left over.... So OCD!

    TTC 12+ mo. 6th clomid cycle. PCOS.

  29. McNugget

    pea / 19 posts

    @LindsayInNY: that sounds just about right- poor DH, clueless - he'll snap out of it. Keep your cool

  30. littlek

    GOLD / squash / 13576 posts

    @McNugget: I don't trust digital, when you pull out the stick what do the lines look like?

  31. McNugget

    pea / 19 posts

    @littlek: there was a line on digital test, but I didnot see a " control" line to comp
    I took the other test and the test line was not as dark as the control yet

  32. Snowdrop

    pear / 1846 posts

    @McNugget: what?! That isn't an OPK is it???

  33. Happygal

    pomelo / 5000 posts

    @LindsayInNY: that is the worse. My husband and I have had arguments right around crucial times, too. It's like we both have to remember that even though we're so annoyed in the moment, we do love each other. I hope things smoothed out for you!

    @littlek: My digital smiley OPK directions said that the lines on the test don't mean anything (doesn't mean I haven't looked before)!

    @McNugget: with PCOS, can your body gear up to O and not do so? I'm not sure, but I'd make sure to have some quality time with your SO just to be safe!

  34. littlek

    GOLD / squash / 13576 posts

    @LindsayInNY: Ugh I'm sorry.

  35. littlek

    GOLD / squash / 13576 posts

    @Happygal: I know they say that, but I've gotten false positives with digitals. I try and back up with wondfos, I've noticed that I get two dark lines with digitals if I'm actually ovulating. I don't trust digitals.

  36. Happygal

    pomelo / 5000 posts

    @littlek: so you've found the lines on the digitals do work like the wondfos? Interesting!

    I'm a wondfo gal myself, and used digitals to confirm in the beginning. Now I don't bother at all!

  37. littlek

    GOLD / squash / 13576 posts

    so, I tested today at 8 DPO and it was a stark BFN, which kinda solidifies what I was feeling, this isn't our cycle. So, on to the next!!

    Estimated O Date: Feb 18 or 19
    POAS/AF date: Feb 28
    Cycle #: lucky #6
    Chart link: N/A
    Trying new this cycle: Trying to stay more positive. Visiting RE Feb 14th.
    Are you planning on doing anything for Valentines day? We have a babysitter Feb 15, DH and I are going out to dinner.

  38. littlek

    GOLD / squash / 13576 posts

    @Happygal: They did this cycle at least..

  39. Crystal

    grapefruit / 4028 posts

    @littlek: do you think it might be too early?

  40. littlek

    GOLD / squash / 13576 posts

    @Crystal: Possibly. Every other month, I would have what I thought might be early symptoms, nothing this month. When I had the phantom symptoms, it made me think, hey maybe you're pregnant.
