Did any of you experience diarrhea toward the end of your pregnancy ? I'm almost 36 weeks and my stomach has been upset most every time I go recently. A friend of mine said hers was too towards the end. Is this a thing ?!?!

yup!! flu-like symptoms indicative of oncoming labor!! I got really sick the last week, diarrhea, nausea, fatigue etc. My MW said it was totally normal, similar to first trimester, and it's your body's way of "clearing things out" in prep for labor.
GL it could be soon!

Totally a thing. I was due in October and it began beginning of September. My body didn't like me aaaat all, it was almost scary at times....,nothing left my body solid....how's that for TMI

@coacheswife123: Nope! Went to 41w
Everyone thought it meant I would go early, I stuck with my gut feeling she'd be late....and sure enough!

@coacheswife123: It definitely made it tough for me. We did all types of samples (urine, blood, stool, lovely!) And even a trip to L&D when just got worried and nothing showed and doc's just said it can be "how it is" for some. Tried a BRAT diet (bananas, rice, applesauce, toast), nothing I ate changed it/mattered, and I was still gaining weight like crazy (gained 56lbs thru pregnancy) so yah....just part of the fun of being preggo!!!
Hang in there, beyond worth it, would do it for full pregnancy for my LO, too much fun!

I was like that from like 34 weeks on. My midwife said it was my body clearing itself out.

Yep. 35 weeks was when it started I googled it like crazy because I was so concerned then asked my doctor and it's the body's way of prepping for labor. Almost there!

I'm 33 weeks, and while it's not full on diarrhea, I'm definitely getting an upset stomach every time I have to go #2. And it's not pleasant when I actually go to the bathroom either.

I've heard that this can happen close to when you go into labor. unfortunately, I'm 38 weeks with the opposite problem and it's just awful.

I haven't had diarrhea yet (quite the opposite) but I have been more nauseous than usual. Last night I totally thought I was going to puke! I'm only 34 weeks (35 on Sunday) so I don't really want to go into labor quite yet. I think everything is just getting all squished and screwed up in there as baby grows and overtakes EVERYTHING.

Since we're all into TMI around here, I'm 33 weeks (tomorrow) and I've been going back and forth between these lovely issues. I'll be all stuck (my preferred word for constipated) for a day or two, and then all of a sudden "loosen up" to the opposite extreme. And then get "stuck" again. I guess I will sit back and "enjoy" this cycle for the next few weeks and just trust that my body is doing what it needs to do to get ready!

at 35 weeks I feel this coming on as I am eating. Its like my body is processing everything I eat so fast. Regardless of what it is.
My stomach starts to turn as I am eating. Its horrible. Glad to hear this is normal for some

I love that every time I have some weird gross issue, I can just search for it and someone has already asked and answered my question. Yet, slightly disturbed to hear this might be normal for the next 5 weeks!

I had diarrhea at the start of labor like two hours before we realized it was go time. I don't remember having diarrhea in the weeks leading up to labor, but definitely hours before we left for the hospital.
