Ok, so I'm a little over 30wks, and in the past week or so I've noticed some fluid beading on my nipple, but only ever on one (the same nipple every time), and it's definitely clear and watery, not yellowish and/or thick everything I read says colostrum should be.
I have a prenatal on Friday, and it's on my list of questions to ask my midwife, but in the meantime I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with this.

I started having the same thing at around 33 ish weeks, particularly in the shower. Mine was from both sides, and was very minimal. It was clear, almost like water. Once LO was born, it turned thick and yellow.

I did right around 30-31 weeks. For a while, it was clear and watery, only a little bit, and only on my right side. I asked the doctor about it and she said that's normal and it may get thicker. Within the next week I had it on both sides and it was alternating between clear and watery and thicker and a yellowish color. It also increased in volume.
My doctor though said either is normal. Mine stopped leaking around 33ish weeks or so but for a couple of weeks I had to wear breast pads.

Sounds like the beginnings of colostrum to me! I've had it since 20 weeks or so, and the midwife told me it was totally normal. Sometimes it's clear and watery, other times it's a little more yellow and thick.

@FutureMrsMcK: my boobs started leaking at 20 weeks. Sometimes it was clear and sometimes it was white-ish, and it usually came out of one nipple more than the other. Its just your boobies getting ready im sure!

Yup - I had one side that leaked more than the other.. still do! And it does start out watery like that. Even once your milk comes in, thestuff that leaks is generally more water-like.

i have nothing to add - just that theres never TMI here on hellobee. Hello... we give birth through our vaginas, we tear and have stitching and bleeding and we need to have sex to make kids.

Now that I've gotten that out, I haven't noticed anything liquid but definitely have some dried stuff on there. That's been happening for some time now.

So naturally after I took a shower last night I had it coming out of BOTH nipples, and it was a little bit thicker and whiter.
