Hello! I took the day off today because the DH got his wisdom teeth out today. I just picked him up about an hour ago. His cheeks are all puffy and he's talking weird. He's so cute.

Just hanging out and resting. Have been having a hard time since getting pregnant ( not feeling great and having a lot of anxiety because of a prior miscarriage ). So my super awesome neighbor made dinner for us so I'm waiting for hubs to get home from work so we can eat it. Then I'm going to take a unison and try to relax enough to sleep.

Ladies, I'm so happy that there is a post-a-thon tonight. I'm home now and resting. I had a friend that brought me some dinner and I'm typing while listening to her talking. I'm feeling ok--not really in any pain, but trying to comfort everyone else. I think they are having more trouble coming to grips with the miscarriage than I am at this point. I told my husband that I was really going to be leaning on this community in the next few months because there are people here going through the same thing. It's amazing how many people have come forward with their own stories of late miscarriages.

I'm at home after a lovely lunch at Benihana's for my husband's birthday!
My 5 week old son is napping and I'm ordering his birth announcements right now! A little late, yes, but this month has been so busy!

@mrs. wagon: Thank you! I am really glad that everyone is here. I've already posted on the miscarriage board. I told my husband that I really think this community will be super helpful and comforting in this whole situation.
@Andrea: Thank you! I am glad to be home. I took a shower and my husband is sleeping. He didn't sleep for 31 hours. Poor guy!!!! One of my friends brought us dinner and we are just hanging out. I haven't been on this site as much as somehting like Weddingbee, mainly because I was used to going there, but now I think that this is the site for me. So much of our focus is on losing our baby and now trying again, etc. The miscarriage board really helped me last night as I was just waiting for everything to happen.
blogger / wonderful cherry / 21616 posts
@Jennimac: That's where I was too. I have been on weddingbee almost exclusively up until now, but since my son was born 5 weeks ago, I've been here a lot more.

@Jennimac: I really think message boards like this are a Godsend for certain things... it's sometimes too difficult to share with your personal friends, especially if they've never been in your situation before and they are also emotionally involved. Coming on here anonymously and hearing feedback from people who know exactly where you're coming from (and can answer your questions!) is exactly why these message boards are gold. I personally haven't been through the hell you are going through right now, but I'm happy to be here for you and part of the hellobee community that will help you through this!!

@miss-spunkin: How is your son doing? How is your recovery coming?
@mrs. wagon: You hit the nail on the head. It's been amazing how many people in our small community have dealt with this sort of thing. I've had so many people emailing/texting me about their story. I'm so glad that everyone is here and supportive.

@mrs. wagon: That's what I'm thinking!
@banana: Thanks. I finally delivered our little girl this morning at 4:20 a.m. We got home about 4:30 this afternoon. I took a shower and a friend bought some dinner.

@Jennimac: My son is doing so well, he is a good little boy. He doesn't like being put down though, so either my husband or I are always holding him, the little dear! Sometimes I start getting frustrated, but then I remember how blessed I am and how quickly this time goes by. So I revel in it.
My healing has been slow, felt great at 3 weeks, then kinda started regressing. I can't wait to feel normal again!
Speaking of which, idk if you wanna talk about it, but what was your induction like? Was it physically painful?

@jennimac: A friend of mine also lost her baby at 15 weeks and named him Liam. Were you able to give your baby a name?

Hi all! My LO is 3 months today and she rolled over a few times...hopefully it wasn't a fluke! Right now she is chilling in her swing and I am lounging on the couch.
blogger / wonderful cherry / 21616 posts
@autumnlove: I wish my baby would take to the swing. He cries whenever I put him down, I thought the swing would be a cure-all but he cries just as much. I'm glad we didn't pay for it (borrowing it from a friend!).

@miss-spunkin: I bet that is difficult to have a baby that wants to be held all the time, but then you think to the future when they are teenagers and they don't want to be around you and you don't mind holding the baby at all.
I hope you feel normal again because it's an odd thing to not feel normal.
I don't mind talking about the induction. I've actually had several people talk to me about it so far. I'm thinking that I'll probably write a post in the miscarriages section about it. I can give a short version here, but I don't know if that's an appropriate 'post-a-thon' thread.

@banana: Yes, we did name her. We named her Susan Patricia, after both of our mothers. We were asked if we want to name the baby and my husband said that we had lists of boys and girls name and I was hesitant to use one that we had picked out--if that makes sense. I wanted the name to be meaningful, but we were not going to decide the name until we met the baby. My husband picked out the names for a boy or a girl that we would use and it just 'felt right' when we said it.

@Jennimac: yeah, I don't really know proper protocol for post-a-thons either, I always missed the ones on WB.
I was induced with my son because I developed pre-eclampsia at 38 weeks. It was really rough. My mom said that her induction was the worst labor of all six of her kids, so I feel I may have a warped sense of what real labor would be like. But I am curious to know how yours was different. Let me know if you post it somewhere else.

@miss-spunkin: I actually thought it was good experience. The way they induced me was putting a tablet that usually treats high blood pressure on my cervix. That would cause me to start cramping. They continued doing it every 4 hours. It took 3 doses to get me ready to deliver. My water broke on it's own and my cervix was opening and softening. I remember thinking these are contratctions I'm feeling and then it was time to push. I didn't have to dialate to 10 cm because the baby wasn't that big, but I still had to dialate some. The whole process took less than 11 hours to complete. there are some women that would take days to progress as far I did. It did take a lot of the fears I had about labor away. I kind of look forward to my next labor since my body responded well to this one.
