If you had a Postpartum Mood Disorder, what did you do for birth control? My MW told me I probably wouldnt ever take hormal BC again, but I havent heard many good stories about Paraguard.

We're charting and using condoms for the time being. We might look for a different solution once we're done having kids.

@redsmarties: okay, yeah. We are using condoms as well, but she said to have a back up like spermicide as well. I could start charting. I do get up at the same time everyday now with DS!

@citymouse: Yikes...we don't have a backup. I'm not sure how accurate my charting is yet...but it might be a good option!

She recommended that for us because if we had an oopsies right now I would be wrecked. DS is only 8 weeks old, and I have been healing from PPA for about 4 weeks now. Im sure you guys are fine, but if you are worried there are always a couple other backups you could try! A friend mentioned there is a spermicide filled insert that you can use and is 99% effective, without condoms. I haven't researched it yet, but I am interested because I hate condoms!
