My baby cousin (3 weeks old) stopped breathing today. My sister was there and called 911, my aunt was holding her and from a family game of telephone it sounds like she was revived. But she is at the hospital. Please pray or send good vibes or anything you believe in. I cannot imagine the panic she must have felt. I'll update when I hear anything tomorrow. Thanks all.

I'm so sorry! this happened to me when i was about 6 weeks old. i stopped breathing in the middle of the night. I spent a few days in the hospital hooked up to oxygen but everything turned out ok. They never figured out what happened but it never happened again. And i'm a healthy women in my 30s now! I will be thinking of her and sending happy vibes to your whole family.

I am so beside myself right now now knowing anything. I cannot imagine what my aunt/uncle are feeling. My sister is still really shaken up after having been there. Hoping no news is good news.

Update from my aunt: "Still waiting for tests to be competed. She is going to be tested for the seizures until 7 or 8 tonight and then will go for an MRI. I don't think (as of now) she is coming home today. They are thinking it was a seizure, acid reflux or an acute life threatening attack. Everything except the acid reflux has us nervous." From my sister- "She's responding they can't tell if damage has been done" please pray for it to be something little! My sister is going there in a minute.

Still no results back. Heartbroken for them. So glad my sister is home and not working (peace corp starting in a month) so she can babysit her 3 other kids and allow my aunt/uncle to be with Molly. Praying it's nothing that could hurt her again.

Update: I talked to my mom and it *seems* like she is ok, that she wasn't out for too extended of a time. They're still assessing of course since a 3 week old can't be like "Oh hello doctors, I'm fine thanks for asking." That's my biggest worry- that there is no lasting damage from the episode. Then of course it's still trying to figure out what happened. They're staying over tonight again too. Hopefully some answers tomorrow.

@kjpugs: so glad she seems to be ok. Hopefully it was just a once off scare.
If they don't already have an angelcare monitor or snuza, you may want to suggest it. (Unless of course they send her home with a hospital grade monitor)

@wheres_c: that's a great idea, when they go home with more of a "diagnosis" (hopefully) I will have my mom tell her that. I'm hoping it's something like what @Pirouette had happen, though that must be scary not to have an actual "THIS IS WHAT HAPPENED" it would be nice for her to be fine to go home with less worry.
