Tell me your pre-eclampsia story. When were you given this title? What were your symptoms? How did you manage? When and how was your baby born?

I started to develop preeclampsia at 32. I was already being monitored closely as I was a high risk twin pregnancy. So at each of my visits (2-3 a week) they checked my blood pressure and ironed or proteins. I had to take it easy and lay down a lot. At 35 weeks I was admitted to the hospital for extra monitoring and possible c section. I was sent home after several hours of monitoring. Between 35 and 37 weeks I was admitted 4 times for monitoring. The fourth time they decided to so the c section. My boys were born perfectly healthy. My blood pressure sort of bottomed out during the surgery and I was in recovery for four hours but it wasn't that bad. I think as log as your monitored closely you should be fine.

I didn't have pre-e but my mom did. She went from being totally fine at her 36 week appointment to having crazy pre-e at her 37 week appointment. They marched her across the street to the hospital and induced her that day.

I was hospitalized at 37 weeks and told they would induce me that night. They found that I improved when I was lying down, so was sent home on very strict bedrest until 40 weeks exactly and then was induced. I was verrry swollen and also, they kept me almost a week because it took a few days after birth for my blood pressure to come back down.
