I bought some sparkling grape juice tonight. I intend to drink the entire bottle and try to convince myself I'm starting to feel a little tipsy.

We're just gonna hang out at home. I was hoping my sister (also pregnant) and her husband would come down, but they can't make it. So it'll just be me, Hubs, and the furbaby...waiting for LO to make his appearance!

I'm 38 weeks, so we'll be at home. Going out just doesn't sound that fun right now. I'm so stinking uncomfortable most of the time anyway - being away from my couch at a party just doesn't sound awesome.

i might go visit my family for lunch so i get some social time in that day, but i'm going to be staying at home that night. probably going to bed early too.

This is a bit of a sore subject for us!!

We always go to our friend's house - he has a massive party every year - but everyone will be smoking and the whole house will be thick with smoke so I can't go this year. Since I broke the news to DH a few weeks back that I wont be subjecting the baby to that (he was less than impressed at first - but then, upon thinking about it, agreed that it would be less than ideal) we've not talked about NYE.

Whenever I try to bring it up, he just says he can't think of anything we can do. DH doesn't enjoy going out just the two of us (shame coz I love it) - he says he'd rather stay at home unless there's a group of us. Unfortunately, all his friends will be at this party.

I guess we'll end up staying in for the first year ever. I'll hate it, DH will hate it and we'll be miserable. And it's ridiculous - it doesn't have to be this way! Sigh.

Well I will be 5.5 weeks on nye and we haven't told anyone yet so I'd love to stay in just the two of us, but I'm stuck at my in-laws over the holidays so I'll have to make faux tails and pretend like I'm drinking and do my best to stay up as late as possible. Not my idea of a fun time but I have no other choice unfortunately.

I was 8 weeks pregnant NYE, and I didn't want to go to any of our friends' parties which all involved copious amounts of booze that I would have to somehow pretend to drink (since we hadn't told any of our friends yet). We ended up going to see Hairspray at a localish theater and then staying at DH's aunt's cabin on the Chesapeake Bay. Nice and calm and low-key.

Then New Year's Day we went sailing with BIL--my first time sailing, it was during a race, with super high winds. I'm amazed I didn't yak all over everyone. I don't recommend it.

well, we're super lame and go to bed at like 9pm every night, so i don't think we'll even make it to midnight.

Nothin None of our friends are having parties, and while I'm debating having people over for a low-key game night, my exhaustion level lately has been ridiculous Soo probably nothing. Sucks!

We are going to go for dinner and then we'll come home and either play games or watch movies. This is what we have done the last few years, so it has nothing to do with me being pregnant. I'd be surprised if we stayed up til midnight. We are pretty lame and in bed by 9:30 most nights though.

Nothing maybe we'll go out for an early dinner with LO since we don't have a babysitter. Otherwise we'll probably hang out on the couch and if I try I might be able to make it to midnight!

We're hosting our annual NYE party. This will probably be the last one for awhile. Everyone now knows I'm pregnant, so no hiding anything (what a relief!). I'll just be drinking my sparkling grape juice and trying to stay awake past midnight!

My dh will be working out of town most likely, or just getting back from a trip not sure yet. My son wants to go my parents to light off fireworks, but they will for sure be opening wine and I won't know how to say no without fessing up. Dh already almost told them on Christmas and I'm not ready to tell! I don't even know how far along I am. I do know the exhaustion and nausea has set in. What I would like to do is go to bed at 8!

we usually don't do anything but stay home. this year we're going to a friend's house for appetizers, doing dinner with a bunch of DH's fraternity brothers and their wives, and then headed home by 9, easily! My OB doesn't want any of her pregnant patients out too late. Plus it's supposed to snow.

@Smurfette: I was just telling my husband how I was worried about staying up until midnight and then having to drive home after and he suggested I take a nap during the day as well! I'll definitely be doing that now, like you!
