Teacher bees, what shoes did you wear while pregnant? It's hot at school, and the standing is making my feet swell and ache. Any suggestions on cute, supportive shoes?

I'm a big fan of Dansko clogs. Not sure how cute you might think they are, but for me they are super comfy, supportive, and professional looking. I can stand for hours without making my feet hurt.
I was able to wear them until about week 36 of my last pregnancy, but by that point my feet were too swollen to fit into much of anything. I walked around in unlaced sneakers after that point and told anyone who made a comment to shove it

@lemondrop: I'll have to check them out...supportive and professional would be more important than cute!

My birks and clarks were my best friend. I went for comfort over fashion, lol

@Mrs. J: Yep, I wore Dansko and Sanita clogs through most of my pregnancy. Merrell were also very comfortable and supportive.

I don't teach, but I actually got a pair of black crocs that look like ballet flats. They were SO comfortable. Nothing seemed to help the sweating and swelling but at least they are comfortable.

Just wanted to say that onlineshoes sent me a 20% off Merrells, and those rarely go on sale! Let me know if you're interested in a pair and I'll see how we can get the coupon code to you.

Not a teacher, but my dad is a podiatrist and got me hooked on these. Very comfy and surprisingly cute for orthodic shoes. I don't wear anything else anymore. http://www.orthaheelusa.com/women.html

I wore Cole Haan Nike Airs until I had to switch to sneakers. My principal understood because she was pregnant too!

I'm a teacher, but not pregnant. I swear by Danskos and have several pairs in a variety of styles. I cannot teach without them!

I'm not a teacher but I'm on my feet all day and I wear Danskos. They were perfect up until my foot (yes, just one) grew. They're not cute, IMO, but super comfy.

I am 31 weeks and have lived in the ballet flat Crocs. So comfortable. Now that I'm going back and it's going to be super hot I know they won't work due to sweating so I'm going to wear flip flops which is typically a no-no unless you're pregnant and swollen I'll return back to my Crocs once the heat goes away.

I would look into Reef shoes... seriously they are so super duper comfy (crock-esque) but they come in a wider variety of styles and colours IMO. I'm wearing "Souther Solstice" today and they are my current go-to comfy stylish work shoe.

I'm not a teacher, but another vote for black Crocs ballet flats. I love, love mine. I still wear them to work, at work, everywhere. I have multiple colors too. Jayna is my favorite style. I really like their slingback flats.

Thank you so much, ladies! I wore my Tevas today. Not the most attractive, but I am hoping they (and more sitting) will help.
I have such narrow feet (normally) that I have a lot of trouble with slipons, but we will see!

@Mrs. J: Several people have mentioned Danskos, and I wanted to just warn you that if you do buy a pair...wear them around the house for a few hours first to help your feet get accustomed to them. I bought a pair in January specifically for a business trip and they hurt my feet SO bad at first. They're awesome now, but there is a breaking in period that you need to keep in mind!

What about some Bjorns? They are really really comfortable and have some super cute styles!

@Sophia: Yeah, they made me think people were crazy for recommending them... but now I love them!

I'm a teacher and love my Danskos, but I'd be a cranky hot mess in the heat with them on right now. Last year I was 8.5 months pregnant in August when school started and I wore my Tevas everyday (the flip flop kid with all the straps - olowahu: http://www.teva.com/womens-olowahu-flip-flops/6840,default,pd.html?dwvar_6840_color=HPRP&start=1&cgid=women-flip-flops)
I don't know how supportive they are, but my feet didn't hurt. I also sat on a big yoga ball all day and kept my feet up whenever I could.

I'm not a teacher, but I absolutely love these flats! I didn't wear them a ton at work until these last 2 months, but they're a lifesaver and they were super cheap!

I lived in my TOMS while pregnant. Not the most professional, but were worth their weight in gold during those later months. Plus, they accommodated my swollen feet.
If I wore dresses then I wore flip flops. My principal was pretty lax about our dress code though.
