Is there a smallish, non-gummy prenatal vitamin out there? I have a really hard time swallowing large pills, so I got gummy prenatals. Unfortunately, my food aversions now include my vitamins, and I gag every time I take one. I don't think it's the flavor, just the texture. Any other recommendations?

I love Rainbow Lite 1 a day prenatals. They can be found at whole foods. They are very easy on the tummy.

Another vote for rainbow light. They aren't small though but if you break them in half they are easier to swallow.

I take new chapter perfect prenatal. One dose is three smaller pills.

I took rainbow light petite- you take three small pills instead of one big. Much easier wen everything makes you gag. They have them at whole foods and if you like them, you can get them cheapest through subscribe and save on amazon.

I had an aversion to my prenatals too. I do two flintstones complete and then a DHA supplement.

I second the New Chapter Prenatals. They are one of the few that have Folate instead of Folic Acid.

I can't do big pills either! I ended up with a chewable centrum multi, folic acid (these are tiny!), chewable calcium +d, and an omega 3 gelcap that was easy to swallow.

Thanks for the recommendations! I picked up some Rainbow Light Petite this morning, and they are SO much better. I had to laugh at the description of them as "mini-tablets" though. They're small enough to swallow without a problem, but I would not describe them as mini.
It doesn't look like there is any DHA in them though. If you take the rainbow light, do you take a DHA supplement as well?

@Aria: I buy my DHA separately. I am trying really hard to eat low mercury fish (like wild caught salmon) twice a week with this pregnancy though because a study I read basically said that women who supplemented they saw no change but women who got it from fish they saw an increase in performance of their children.

@Aria: If the Rainbow doesn't end up jiving with you. I have been taking Vitamin Code for over a year. It can be taken on an empty stomach...even when you are pregnant (SQQUEEE). And has probiotics and ginger.

I take Nature Made Multi Prenatal. They are significantly smaller, fairly smooth, and the only USP-verified one I'm aware of.
