A quick bit of backstory: I have been having real trouble breathing since I'm so short waisted. At 23 weeks the baby is well into my ribs and stressing my lungs and diaphragm. The shortness of breath really affects me at night, to the point where I wake up in a panic and can't rest or relax for hours.
Tonight, I went to a prenatal yoga class, and I can see light at the end of the tunnel!! After a few minutes of guided breathing I could feel myself relax (at first it actually made me nervous to close my eyes because it reminded me of the anxiety of sleeping), which was a blessing. An hour of stretching and I feel like a new woman!
I know I have to keep it up, but I feel so much lighter. And hopeful that the next few months won't be so torturous.
Have you tried yoga, or anything else that was your pregnancy miracle?
