I received a spa gift card at my baby shower this weekend, and was considering getting a prenatal massage (I'm 34 weeks). Did you ever get one? Is it worth the money?

I did, and I didn't like it! I went once to a spa, and they had me laying on this preggo pillow thing, and I was sooo uncomfortable the whole time I ended up going to my PT for massages sitting up in a chair, and those are wonderful!

I had one and it was amazing. I was only like, 18 weeks, I think, but it was so nice. I'm dying to go back for another soon and if I got a spa gift card that's exactly what I would do.
The one I had they just had regular pillows-- one for my head, one to hug/keep me on my side, one between the knees and one between the ankles-- which is how I sleep usually anyway. I was on one side, then switched to the other, then at the end she raised up the back a little so I was sitting somewhat reclined for extra neck work. Not sure if that's the norm, but that was my experience.

Thanks, ladies! Sounds like it's worth a shot. I've never had a massage before... guess there's no better time than now!

I got them a lot because of my migraines. They were awesome, you'll love it! I went to different therapists, some had regular pillows and some had the special pregnancy ones. I loved all of them, the more pillows the better, especially towards the end.

I had two towards the end - I think I was about 35 and 37 weeks along. Both were great, especially when my feet got really swollen, she spent a lot of time on my legs trying to push the fluids back up.

Soooo amazing. I credit the prenatal massage I had at 38 weeks with curing my sciatic nerve pain! I had two previous to that before I was uncomfortable and they were so relaxing.
