My mom put this bug in my ear this weekend after watching my LO for a few days, so I wanted to ask the bees for advice.

My LO is 27 months and has zero readiness signs. She's perfectly fine with diapers, resists diaper changes, even when diapers are full or poopy. She has zero ability to sit still, so she'll sit on the potty occasionally for a hot second and we read books about it but the connections just aren't there. I've basically taken the "wait and see" approach but I'm wondering if I should be doing something. My mom was with her for 3 days this weekend and put her on the potty right after she would have meals or when she would see her straining to poop. Some mixed success, but I don't think LO internalized anything really. My mom thinks I should be doing this regularly to create the connections/associations between pee/poop and potty, but LO is in full time daycare all week and I'm honestly just not sure if devoting what little time we have on the weekends to this when she has no signs of readiness is really worth it. She's also, weirdly enough, been peeing more lately (though it could be that it just seems that way and her diapers are just getting smaller on her).

Any thoughts? I was just reading the Late Potty Trainees thread so I know there's a wide range for readiness and I really don't want this to stress her out and make things worse physically (kid is already prone to constipation). My mom trained both her kids very early (another country, whole 'nother set of methods LOL) so she's on me about this all the time and I know I probably just need to tune her out but if there's something I could be doing, I'd rather not miss the boat.

Thanks!
