How did you decide who to invite if you're not inviting the whole class?

I have a good list of the core friends that DD talks about the most and have been in the same room since she was 7 weeks old! Some are specific requests from her.

I'm thinking about asking her teachers if they would expand on the list since they see her with her friends daily. Is that overkill?
