Just want to brag real quick!
I got a call this morning from a random number from Arkansas so I ignored it thinking it was spam. They left a message so I checked it and turns out it was my insurance company. They didn't say what they wanted so I called them back and reached the woman who left the message for me. Her voice got so excited when she heard it was me and turns out she's not from my insurance technically, but the maternity benefits program I'm signed up on through my insurance (which is actually my husbands insurance).

She's one of the on staff nurses and she was calling to ask me how my pregnancy was going. I told her it was going great and that I've had no issues. She asked the typical nurse questions, medications, blood pressure, baby's movement, etc. then she asked some fun questions like what we were having and what we were naming him and such (pretty much any questions that pregnant mommies love to blab about).

THEN she asked me if I knew about the breast pump benefits I'm entitled to. I told her kind of, because I had heard of it from husbands coworkers but I didn't know the details. She reminded me I'm entitled to a Double Electric Medela breast pump after the baby is born that I get to keep and that is provided to me absolutely free. She gave me the instructions on how to get it after he's born. I'm so pumped (no pun intended)!

Here's the real surprise. Guess where my husband works?
WALMART! They at least got something right!

How is your insurance in regards to maternity care? I feel like I won't be this excited when I get my bill in the mail after he's born.
