So I'm gross and picked a scab on my knee, and now I have a super dark scar. I've been researching products to fade the scar because its so obvious when I wear skirts/dresses! Has anyone tried any of the below? I'm definitely open to other suggestions! Also, do you know if these should be safe during pregnancy?
- Invincible Scars (Vitamin C complex)
- Mederma
- Bio Oil
- Asian whitening creams like Eucerin Even Brighter

I have always been told to use vitamin e after surgeries. Definitely safe! Buy the pills and just prick the ends with a needle and squeeze it out

my ob recommended kelo-cote but i've never tried it on myself.

I tried Kelo-cote on a keloid scar I have on my shoulder. I don't really feel like it did anything for it, but I think that's because I didn't start using it right when the scar was new and still healing.

I used palmers cocoa butter on a huge surgery scar and it looks pretty good to me, granted its in an area that is only visible when I wear a swim suit so I'm not that self conscience about it since an ugly scar is probably the least of my bathing suit worries

I used Mederma on the scar on my forehead and it did a great job. I think the one I used also had Vitamin E in it. I'm not sure about using it during pregnancy but I would just ask your doctor or midwife.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone! One of the products I mentioned above, Invincible Scars, has both silicone & Vitamin C so I'm thinking I will try that since silicone products tend to be the best. Maybe I will combine it with Mederma? Mederma is kind of weird to me because they don't come out and say what their active ingredient is.

I have a large scar on my chin that I got as a kid. I put straight Vit E on it. I've used Mederma and Bio Oil on my stretch marks and it didn't seem to make a difference.
