My 5.5 is starting to read alone and he loves to read the board books we have from his infant days - they make awesome 1st reader books!
So, especially the mama's who are 1 and done - don't get rid of them thinking you are done with them!

yeah I agree! And if you aren't 1 and done, they are great for older sibling to read aloud to younger sibling at bed time. My DD feels like such a big girl to sometimes read my DS's bed time stories to him at night.

Ooh, thanks for the tip! I am big into getting rid of baby stuff because we are one-and-done and live in a teeensy tinesy apartment but board books are definitely something I'll keep around (at least some of them, we have looooots of books!).
