I'm almost 8 weeks along and my pants are already getting a wee bit tight. I work from home and I'd like to buy a few pair of yoga pants for everyday wear (I basically live in comfy pants M-F).
Are speciality maternity yoga pants even worth it? If so, any favorite brands? Also, if you bought a pair early on, did they grow with you or did you have to go up a size?

I wore regular ol' yoga pants in my pre-pregnant size all the way up to the day I was induced.

Gap maternity pants- but only for weeks 25 on, they would have been way to big at the beginning. I also wore regular yoga pants as well my whole pregnancy!

I bought the fold down yoga pants from Victoria's Secret and just folded the top up to make a "panel"- worked great for pregnancy and post-partum.

I wore regular yoga pants all the way to the hospital and home again! The VS fold-over were my favorite staples for the same reason @erinpye: said.
I did buy a pair of Ingrid & Isabel foldover yoga pants that were supposed to go through all stages. The panel was way too long on me (I'm only 5'4", so maybe it was meant for taller women).

I wore regular.... But my mom did get me maternity pjs. I thought Sgt was crazy because pj pants are stretchy..... But maternity were Apollo much more comfy. I bet it's the same with yoga pants.

I bought a size up in lululemon Still pants and they were worn extensively through my pregnancy from 10 weeks onward and 2 months post partum. Great investment because they are incredibly comfy but also a nice fabric with a great wide leg cut that looked good enough for work. I am a teacher and would just wear them with a tank and sweater. Great purchase.

I wore normal non maternity ones. I sized up about halfway thru. I did buy one pair of maternity old navy ones but they never fit right--was always hiking them up even at the end--and I was huge so that wasn't the problem!

I am 40+ weeks and still in regular yoga pants- they just fold down below my belly. I bet maternity ones would be comfy, but maybe not worth the extra cost (if you have some that still fit well).

I have the regular VS ones that have worked throughout my pregnancy. I'm in the 3rd trimester and I got the Liz Lange yoga pants at Target a few weeks ago.

Any fold down yoga pants should work. That being said, I had two pairs from old navy and one from gap. Love them equally.

@erinpye: That's exactly what I'm doing.
I'm not that far along yet but I just fold up the panel on the fold down VS maternity pants. They work the same and they feel comfy. I could see them fitting throughout the pregnancy.

My regular yoga pants are the only article clothing I've been able to wear the whole time. I have a couple pair of maternity ones too, but my regular ones are more comfy.

I lived in my old navy maternity yoga pants. Actually, I still wear them at almost 5 months pp because they are so comfy.

I bought a pair from Target that were the GREATEST THING EVER. I ended up buying them around 4 months and they were big. By the end, they still fit, though! I think they were Liz Lange.

My regular fold down pants fit fine and I was huge. Now I can still wear them 8 months later. Stretch fabric is a beautiful thing.

I agree with PP.. I got some fold down yoga pants from Target and they still fit at 8 months pregnant.. comfiest thing in my wardrobe!

I also just bought normal folded down yoga pants and used the fold to make the panel. And I still wear them every day 5 months pp!
I have these and they are the MOST comfortable yoga pant EVER! I have 3 pairs of them!

I wish they made those in non-maternity because I'd wear those every day!

I need another pair! I have a fold over non mat pair that I wore the entire time and still wear post partum. My sister lent me a mat pair that was under belly and I never liked them- the dug into my sides weird.
I was just at target, I wish I'd bought that pair!

I recommend regular ones. I lasted in my same size until around 8 months! My husband bought be a pair of maternity yoga pants from Motherhood and they got a hole in a seam after only a few wears! I suggest VS or Old Navy.

@Mrs. Jump Rope: you were smart. I should have done that but ended up just wearing spit-up covered pants during my maternity leave last summer. 
They were the pants I wore to and home from the hospital.

I wore my regular ones and at about 34 weeks brought one pair of size up, but in reality my regular ones worked just fine!

@fussygal: I just bought regular yoga pants that have the fold over waistband! I mean they're stretchy to begin with so why would I need to pay extra for "maternity"???
