Sidewalk chalk
Rainbow umbrellas or ponchos (could display single color umbrellas or ponchos in a rainbow) -
Nothing revolutionary, but I did rainbow sidewalk chalk and pencils from the $1 bins at Target (lucky find), and rainbow stickers from the grocery store for favors at my daughter's rainbow-themed party this weekend. I was also considering a set of watercolors if I hadn't come across the chalk. Kids were aged 2-6, so I thought these would work for everyone.

Chocolate gold coins (pot of gold at the end of the rainbow) - probably more appropriate for older kids though.

We did this theme for DD! We gave out a nice rainbow pinwheel to each child as the favor.
Eta: got them in the dollar bins at Target last year

We did this for dd1 and gave out the book "Max's Rainbow" from Max and ruby on nick jr. And balloons in the colors of the rainbow
