I was commenting on my peri bottle thread, and it reminded me that I wanted to share something with the pregnant and TTC ladies! Go get a hand held shower head! Even if its just a cheap one from Target that you'll only use during the postpartum period, it is so worth it. It has been my BFF over the last two weeks. The peri bottle is good for when you're peeing, but the shower head is great for pain relief and cleaning. Like a peri bottle but 1000x better. It gets yucky and achy down there and the hot water spray is AWESOME. Trust me. Get one!

That's a great idea! We had one but took it off until I begged DH to put it back on to make it easier to shower with DD!

That sounds amazing for cleaning postpartum, and even now when I'm super prego and reaching is so hard!

Thanks for the tip. We have two shower heads in our shower (not sure why, it isn't huge) but one is a hand held. We usually don't use it, but I will remember this tip for PP.

Such a great idea! Tedious using the peri bottle in the shower, and it didn't work that well any way! I took a bath every night too and I swear it's what speed up my PP recovery (esp after an episiotomy!)

Sweet, we've got one of those! I bought it actually with the intention of it being easier to wash LO in the tub with a handheld, but your reason makes sense! Yay for more value out of my shower lol.

@mrsjyw: I wanted a hot bath SO bad the first week after she was born, but I was too nervous to get in with all the grossness going on down there!
