@MsLipGloss: So far so good! I think this is the first time I've stuck with it beyond a week lol. Used it three times over the past week/week and a day. Been doing one night on, two nights off. I'm due for tonight and haven't had much peeling/dryness at all! I did last week and was makeupless over the weekend which I think might've helped? How long before I should up it to every other night? Trying to get some benefit before ending up pregnant, whenever that may happen!

@LindsayInNY: I would probably stick with the timetable you are on now (every third night) for another week. If your skin is still tolerating it well, go ahead and try every other night and see how you do. You might need a slightly modified rotation at first (say, Mon-apply, Tues-off night, Wed-apply, Thurs/Fri-off nights, Sat-apply, Sun-off night, Mon-apply, etc.).

What I tend to do is choose a rotation . . . I am doing every third night (my Retin-A is the Tretinoin 0.1%, the highest strength), and then if I think there is too much irritation for another on-schedule application, I give my skin an extra night to rest, and then pick back up with my regular rotation (if that makes sense).

You will probably still have some flaking/peeling over the next several weeks (it usually takes about 6-8 weeks total), although the worst of it is at the beginning!

@MsLipGloss: Ahh, I'm using probably the weakest strength available. That might be why my skin seems tolerable now. I'm using something I already had that contains Retin-A but isn't pure Retin-A. I figured I'd wait until post-baby (whenever that is lol) to go to my derm for the pure stuff.

I used the weakest strength of retin-a for mild acne & wrinkle prevention before this pg.... But it will be awhile before I can use it again due to breast feeding I've been using a natural acne gel from whole foods, and my skin has actually looked really good this pregnancy. Still miss my retin a though!
