Meh. A little cutesy for my taste.
Now I am trying to think of names that rhyme with R's name!

Not on purpose. I'd pick the second kid's name without worrying about whether or not it rhymed with the first. If I like it I'd use it.

@rahlyrah: I've been loving the name Elise lately! But I don't think I will do rhyming names.

@swedishfish: That is a beautiful name! Maybe I don't mind rhyming names after all...

@rahlyrah: haha, is it sad that I'm already thinking of names for a future LO? I should be planning R's first birthday party!

@swedishfish: You're making me think you are pregnant!
I wouldn't, but my sister and I have names that start with the same letter. My cousin named her 3 boys with three letter names. I can't think of any other naming quirks offhand.

@swedishfish: Ha! I already have names picked out for both genders and we don't even know when we are going to TTC again (if ever)! At least you are planning for the near future.

@Espion: ha, I was just thinking about names starting with the same letter. I promise I'm not pregnant. I'm just name obsessed!
@rahlyrah: aw, you need to have another LO! You make cute babies!

Depends on the names!
My favorite name for another girl would give her and C the same initials.

I like te idea of the same letter but really rhyme. I can't think of any names that really rhyme with R though.
I worry a bit because my
Daughters name ends with an -ie and I'm not sure if I want future girls to also end similarly or completely different.

My brother and I have rhyming names, and I totally love it. We were thinking of Jayden and Regan at one point if we have a boy and a girl in the future.

No. My friend's name rhymed with her sister's, and she always hated it growing up!

My sister and I have rhyming names, so I voted yay, but I'm not sure I would actively look for a name that rhymes, just wouldn't say no to name I love.

I'm not a huge fan of rhyming names, but I like kids who have names that start with the same letter. I voted land shark because that's what we call our dog

Rhyming first names? No.
Rhyming middle names, yup. DH and I, plus DD all have single syllable middle names that end in -ay. But so do our moms and his sister. We'll keep the tradition going with all of our kids.

not a fan. i once had a student with 3 girl siblings, the 4 of them all had names starting with the same letter and ending in the same letter. it was just too much.

Not so much a fan, but shortened forms of LO's and DH's names rhyme. Matt and Nat. He already likes to pretend he "didn't realize I was calling him" because of course I'd be yelling for my 5 month old.

I had childhood friends (twin sisters) named Belinda and Melinda, they hated it! But I thought it was so cool.

I don't like rhyming names at all but I adore @Sapphiresun:'s rhyming shortened names!! Those names go great together!!
@swedishfish: I'm already thinking of names for a future LO, too! I'm loving Ryan for a girl.... but I don't think I'd get that one past DH!! Two girls - Elliott and Ryan - is adorable, right?
But I'm also thinking about E's first birthday party!! I love parties as much as names!!!
GOLD / coconut / 8266 posts
@Cherrybee: Elliott and Ryan would be adorable together! I vote yay! Haha, just tell your DH that HB gets a vote too. We have already started a preliminary guest list and are trying to decide where to have R's 1st birthday party. This is crazy!

@swedishfish: R is an early June baby, am I right? We're having E's party at home - probably a barbecue because it should be nice weather at the end of July.
GOLD / coconut / 8266 posts
@Cherrybee: June 25 so we will probably have a party the next weekend or the 4th of July weekend.

@swedishfish: At first the only thing I could think of that rhymed was Police. I guess Elise and Denise would rhyme too!

I wouldn't purposefully rhyme names. But if I loved a names for a second and it rhymed with the first I wouldn't change it.
GOLD / wonderful olive / 19030 posts
I would only use a rhyming name if I loved the name. I can't tink of any names that really rhyme with E's name though.
I do know grown adult twins: Audine and Nadine & another set Darrell & Dwayne.
