I have one DD who is 4.5. She loves grocery shopping so we typically go on a morning when DH is working. Sometimes we go on a weekday morning and sometimes a weekend morning, since DH generally works weekends.

During the summer I go in the day with all three. Can be a shit show because the older two act insane lol.
I do grocery pick up a lot.
During the school year, I usually go when the oldest is at school and the middle is a preschool and it’s just me and the baby.
Sometimes we go on the weekend as a family. I do not like using my evening time for grocery shopping. I hate it.

It’s a mix of during the day with kids and in the evening after kids are in bed. More often than not me and LO2 while LO1 is at school. It feels like a treat to grocery shop with 1 after doing it with 2 all summer! Grocery shopping is a task I actually enjoy otherwise I would do more pick up.

I enjoy doing it as a morning outing with my toddler. We go at least 3-4 times/week (sort of just pick up what we're eating for dinner that night) so it's never a crazy amount of time or stuff. He likes to walk and point at different things and it is entertaining for both of us. We shall see what happens once Baby #2 arrives

Take my two with me. It’s our outing besides the park. It got harder when I was very pregnant and I didn’t like doing it with both as much. I haven’t ventured out with all 3 there yet, but I still would never go in the evenings solo, just on the weekend during the day when they can be left with daddy.

I'm home with the kids, but my husband usually does our grocery shopping on the weekends on his own. We used to go as a family after church on Sundays when we just had one kid, but once we had two it just got more complicated.
If I need something mid-week, I either take both kids or try to go while my older one is in preschool and I just have my toddler with me.

Now with two kids, I almost always go on the weekend alone. During the school year sometimes I go either with just the younger kid or when both are in school (younger just does 2 mornings a week). Doing it with both kids is miserable and I always forget things and end up buying random crap.
When I only had one kid we did it mid week and it would be an outing for us and it was totally fine. Not so much with two bigger kids.
Plus I like the time in the store to myself. There’s a Marshall’s in the same plaza so I’ll browse there, take my time shopping, and come home feeling less frazzled.

I voted other because it can vary. I almost always grocery shop on a weekday, usually 1-2 times per week, but the # of kids will vary. My MIL usually babysits for a few hours every week or every other week so I'll do a bigger trip then or go to Costco. Otherwise I try to plan it so I'll go when my oldest is at pre-school or at his grandparents so then I'll just take my toddler and baby. If I can't find a way to get rid of at least one kid, then I'll do grocery pickup. I haven't ventured into a store with all three kids yet (other than one quick trip to Target), I'm scared.
If we need one or two things then I just have DH stop on his way home from work, or I'll place an order online and have him pick up.

I didn’t vote because I am not technically a SAHM. But basically am, since I only work 2d per week. I try to go alone, second choice is 1 kid. Rarely would I bring both! Haha

I try and go in the morning one of the 3 days my 3 year old is at preschool. This morning I ran out of time and had to take both of them to WinCo with me. I now feel totally ok with relaxing and watching a movie with the 2 of them .
Taking 2 kids to gigantic WinCo, in the middle of Phoenix summer was quite the undertaking.
Usually I do grocery pick up if I have to take both although it's not that bad if we just need a few things. My older actually likes grocery shopping so it's not usually too bad

Regardless of if I'm staying home or not (maternity leaves, summer breaks), I have been using grocery pick-up for 2 years almost exclusively and I LOVE it. It has saved me over $100 a month (no exaggeration, I track every penny) due to no impulse buying and seeing my total as I go.

We used to go as a family on a Sunday but lately I’ve been going with just my toddler during the week.

I order online & pickup. We mix it up for our monthly Costco run, most typically one parent takes one or zero kids on the weekend.

DH's superpower is only buying exactly what is on the list so he goes on his way home from work (plus it's on the way for him). I still go sometimes with the kids but I tend to look around for sales, which isn't always bad (reduced meat) but also isn't the best way for us to stick to our budget.

I’m home in the summer, and always take the kids (two of them) with me on a weekday morning. Next summer we’ll have three though, so I don’t know how that’ll go. Things might have to change!

I order online through Instacart and get it delivered! I'm super lucky but have been mostly happy with it

We go as a family for big shopping trips but smaller ones when we only need a few things, I either go when my kids are in school or my husband goes after work.

@pachamama: oooo I just started a post about this! We used instacart for the first time this weekend and I am intrigued!!

I WAH part time, but I pretty much exclusively grocery shop with all three of my kids in tow. I can't remember the last time I shopped alone.

Never as a family! If both parents are free then one can shop and the other stay home with the kids. I also try for never in the evening! Don’t want to waste precious kid free time getting groceries.
I take both kids during week days. They are both well behaved and the store isn’t so busy. I like to see what is on sale/clearance so I can stock up on needed items.
During the school year I would try and go while DS1 was at school.

Usually during the day, with at least one kid (often all three). I try to combine the shopping with a fun trip to sweeten the pill. We used to shop as a family on Fridays or weekends, but when at least two people are home all day, we go through so much produce I need 2-3 trips a week.
