Do you have a general routine that you do? i.e., groceries on saturdays, laundry on sundays and wednesdays, etc. I think I need to make one or else things start piling up. Can you share what your schedule is like?

Hmmm...I don't have a routine like that...I wish I did! But I do the laundry when the basket overflows (once a week)...The hubs and I do small grocery trips every few days, etc.

I don't. Its rare that I don't have laundry daily. But I wash diapers every other day. And everything else I just do when it needs to be done.

@artbee: LOL! The hubs and I have enough essentials to get us through three weeks! The baby has enough clothes/onesies to get through a few weeks, as well. I don't do laundry until I HAAAAVEE to.

No routine here either. I go to the market about 2x a week. I usually do laundry once a week (anywhere from 3-5 loads)

@Rubies: wow, that's a lot of clothes! I have to do lo's laundry every few days because she doesn't have very many pj's. And my husband needs to buy more undershirts, I'm always washing our "unmentionables" because of that.

The only real routines I have is going to the gym every morning and meal times are the same time every day. I usually do laundry three times a week and we go grocery shopping on Tuesday afternoons and then to the farmer's market on Sundays.

@artbee: I purposefully went and bought more undies and undershirts and socks for us so that I wouldn't have to do laundry so often. Do it, it's a lifesaver!

I do not have a schedule, but I'm planning on trying to come up with one...at least tentatively...I'll do a day for laundry, day for grocery shopping, day to clean this or that...

I do laundry and groceries as needed too. But I'm thinking about making a schedule to clean the house. Like bedroom once a week, vacuuming, etc. My house is soooo messy! It's kinda embarrassing.

@Rubies: I'm always doing laundry anyway, so what's one more load. Lo's in cloth diapers so its every other day no matter what.

I tried making a schedule, but sucked at following it. Now, I just kind of do things when they seem to need to be done.

Here are the general constants in my schedule. And I do laundry everyday... I aim for at least just one load a day. A family of four yields a ton of laundry!!
Mondays: DD1 in school, grocery, decluttering
Tuesdays: ballet class, story time at the library, playdate
Wednesdays: DD1 in school, grocery, decluttering (housekeeper comes every other Wednesday)
Thursdays: music class, playdate
Fri, Sat, Sun: DD1 in school on Fri, nothing set in stone on the weekends

Kind of. We have swimming lessons once a week that will now be on Mondays and we usually go out to do our big shopping trip on Saturday. Sundays we either go to the zoo, museum or visiting family.
I do try to go out for a walk every day, and most days I do at least 2 loads of laundry.
