Has anyone ever used scar repair cream/gel after surgery? If so, how long did it take for you to notice an improvement? I had surgery in April and have been using Skinmedica and I am going to need to order more and wondered if it was really worth it. I don't know if the improvement I've seen is just normal healing or if it is the gel.

My mom swears by ScarAway sheets. She says they are so much better than the gel. She was covering a thyroid surgery scar on her neck.

@Corduroy: Hmmm, I stayed away from the sheets because I have had issues before with the tape they use after surgery, but I think they may be a lot cheaper than the gel. I might have to try them.
