DH is participating in his office Secret Santa. He bought his coworker books for her children and a Gucci Man CD. She hates Gucci Man, so this is a joke gift. I told him Secret Santa gifts are supposed to be things the recipient likes. White Elephant exchanges are for gags.

I think as long as there's something nice in there, it's fine to throw in a gag gift occasionally.

Years ago, I was in a department that did gag gifts. It was pretty bad, we'd play big pranks on each other and the gifts tended to reflect that.
