I wash LO's clothes in Dreft and ours with Tide pods. I used All Free & Clear for a long time, but found that the clothes started looking dingy and it wasn't great at getting stains out.
Do you use separate detergent to wash yours & LO's clothes? When did you stop?

I stopped after we ran out of our 2nd tub, we used Dreft for j and stopped about 10 months.

We use separate detergent! It never bothers me cause I'd wash her clothes separately anyways cause I use hand wash cycle for her and speed wash for me. So having two different detergents is find with me.

I use All Free & Clear, but you are right, it doesn't do a great job on stains.

We use separate detergent- but I think once we finish this container of free and clear- we will just use regular tide. He uses the towels we wash in the regular detergent and he is fine- I would like to not have to stock up on two separate kinds! FYI- Lo is 9 months

No, we just use All Free & Clear or the equivalent HEB brand. I've actually not had a problem with stains...but she isn't eating 3 meals a day yet, so we'll see!

I use Tide Free & Clear for everyone's, I used Dreft for the first 6 months or so, and then switched so I could do less loads. I've used Purex Free & Clear as well and it works well & is cheaper than Tide.

We are still using Dreft at 1 year. This 2nd tub has literally lasted us like 6+ months!! I tried washing his stuff with ours using 7th Generation detergent but he broke out in a ton of eczema that we are still battling so we'll be using Dreft for a while until we can get his skin under control.

@LuLu Mom: I'll have to look into Purex Free and Clear! Do you find Tide or Purex good at removing stains?

@Alivoo01: I've never had any issues & the look and feel clean, if it's a "bad" stain I will pre-treat it or soak it so that helps with any lingering stains. I've always done that though, so I don't know if it is necessary?

We use the same detergent for everything, but I started making my own when LO was born. I *really* like it because it's easy, free from additives, and works amazingly well on stains. Seriously, I have never had a stain I couldn't remove from DD's clothes (which is kind of absurd given the messes she makes...).
