Hi friends! Sorry to be AWOL the last week or so--busy at work getting ready for vacation, then on vacation, now getting ready to head back home tomorrow. Things are quiet as LO is a little under the weather so I thought I would jump back in.
CD: 22/4dpo or so?
Cycle #: 9 since mmc last year
TTC #: 2
POAS date: 9/13
Backstory: got KU easily first month trying for #2 a year ago, lost the baby to missed m/c found at 12 weeks, had a d&c. No luck since, now 35. Went to doc in August, she thinks we will get KU on our own again and it is taking longer due to age. Hope she is right! If not, will try hsg in a few months.
Plan this month: not great timing due to vacation but not sure how much I trust my chart with a 3 hour time change. I think I could be as much as 6 dpo? We will find out soon enough.
I am also trying to focus on other positives and be more focused on sources of joy other than ttc. I have found our little thread to be helpful with this but sometimes I need some time away from the board to stay distracted!
Favorite thing about the fall: cooling off the scorching weather in the southwest! And going to the pumpkin patch.
@Marfi: thanks for starting this!!

POAS date: Sept 5th
Backstory: one m/c in November of last year, nothing since.
Plan this month: BD EOD starting at CD8, since my O date has been moving around. Also keep eating right and lose more weight.
Favorite thing about the fall: everything! I love apple picking, pumpkin everything, and sweater/boot weather.

Cycle #: 11-12? Losing track. It's been a while.
TTC #: 1
POAS date: BETA tmw...
Backstory: DH and I have been ttc for about a year now. We started going to the RE a few weeks ago. I had blood work, DH had a SA done, they did a post-coital test (normal) and they discovered my progesterone is low @ 7 DPO. So they started me on progesterone twice a day. I go back tmw at 14 DPO for a beta. FX.
Plan this month: Waiting it out...
Favorite thing about the fall: Pumpkin everything, apple picking, Halloween, etc.
apricot / 278 posts
@Crystal: Thanks lady! Blood work is done...they said I'll know either way by this afternoon! I'm expecting a bfn call though...

@nicole112: FX!!
I had a massive temp dive for the second day in a row. I'm sure I'm out. As much as I expected it, it's still disappointing.
We still have two good attempts before our re appt, so on to the next!

Cycle #: 18 (#11 post-chemical one year ago this cycle...)
TTC #: 1
POAS date: TBD, the RE usually brings me back 2 weeks post-IUI for blood work testing but I'll be switching insurance companies around then so I think I'm going to have to test myself. September 20 seems like a good day?
Backstory: No back story. Had a chemical pregnancy cycle #7 of trying and nothing since, no issues with DH or I, just unexplained IF.
Plan this month: IUI #2 - in one hour
Favorite thing about the fall: Football season starting!
apricot / 278 posts
@Crystal: Temp dips give me the biggest bout of anxiety. I'm sorry about the dip. You seem to have a good attitude about this upcoming month!! GL with the RE! Can't wait to hear updates!!

TTC #: 1
POAS date: Sept. 9
Backstory: Conceived in Dec. when NTNP, miscarriage in Jan/Feb. Been TTC since then with no result.
Plan this month: Take it easy. Just temping (it's routine for me) and cheap opks. I have my WTF appointment with my OBGYN next month. I suspect low Progesterone since I've started spotting early (CD8 last month, CD6 this month)
Favorite thing about the fall: ALL THE THINGS. The weather, my birthday.
@MamaCate: I hear you on needing to step away sometimes

@nicole112: I'm trying to... Thanks. ️

RE office called...not pregnant. They told me to stop taking the progesterone and AF will come in a few days. This is so depressing. I feel like I'm never going to have a bfp...

I was about to catch up on the August thread, after being out of town on vacation, but I see that everyone jumped over to this new thread. Hoping for a fresh month and fresh start for all of us!
CD: CD21, 7DPO/IUI
Cycle #: 14ish
TTC #: 1
POAS date: September 8th
Backstory: Unexplained ovulation issues + DOR. And last cycle determined that I likely have Adenomiosis, although there's nothing that can be done about it anyway. Took 11 cycles trying and injectables + IUI to get pregnant this spring, only to end in m/c in April. This is our first cycle back with the R.E. after our loss.
Plan this month: This month we did pretty much the same protocol that worked last time, 225iu gonal-f injections CD3-11, trigger CD12, and IUI on CD14. Now I'm just on progesterone suppositories, trying to be patient until I can start testing. If this month is a fail, we'll probably just try the same thing again, at least another time or two, since it worked once before.
Favorite thing about the fall: It won't be fall around here for a while (I live in the South), but I'm looking forward to fall clothes like knee high boots and scarves!

Cycle #:15
TTC #: 3
POAS date: September 10th
Backstory: TTC for a while, 1 year ago had laparoscopy with endo removal, scar tissue removal and cervical "stretching" done, then HSG, a few months after that. This is our 3rd IUI with trigger cycle, however the RE doesn't think our first one was a "good" cycle. My progesterone was only 13.6. Last cycle was great, but didn't end in pregnancy, progesterone check in the morning to confirm ovulation this cycle.
Plan this month: Lots of PRAYING... trying to relax and not stress, same as previous months.
Favorite thing about the fall: Hoodies, bonfires and beautiful colors!
Best of luck to everyone! This HAS to be a good month!

CD: trying not to know so I don't stress myself out, but early in TWW.
Cycle #: 18 I think
TTC #: 1
POAS date: haven't decided, but I don't plan to unless I am late
Backstory: first 10-11 months DH was working 1.5 hours ago, so timing was usually decent but a challenge. I've been under a ton of stress. I saw an accupuncturist in July, who helped fix one of my fertility meridians which was out, then I had an anovulatory cycle (first ever), then had to stop accupuncture due to migraines.
Plan this month: modified NTNP. I just started an awesome job, but still dealing with a fair amount of stress, so DH thought we should take a month of just frequent BD and not stress. I did use preseed but haven't done anything else.
Favorite thing about the fall: so many things. Football, weather, food, Thanksgiving.

CD: 7
Cycle #: Don't know since they are erratic, but it's been 18 months.
TTC #: 1
POAS date: Not sure yet, depends on when I ovulate/do the IUI.
Backstory: Diagnosed with PCOS 9 months into TTC...helped explain the LONG cycles. I took Clomid twice early this year, to no avail. When we hit the one year mark in March, we decided to take a TTC break. We've been "Trying" again this summer, and this month will be our first Clomid + IUI cycle.
Plan this month: Took Clomid CD 3-7. I'll start OPKs at CD10 and going in for IUI after postive OPK. I also will likely try acupuncture this cycle.
Favorite thing about the fall: NFL and pumpkin everything!

@nicole112: Uggghhh. Hugs to you, Friend.
I honestly didn't expect to be posting anything today. I thought for sure AF would be here today. I'm cd 31 and didn't even bother testing this morning. Partly because I was not feeling well from the mimosas I had yesterday (I'm not a drinker but apparently yesterday I thought I was!) and partly because I literally cannot stand to see another BFN. I feel like AF is coming. I swear the last days before she comes are cruel and unusual punishment. Kinda had a break down with DH over TTC last night. As usual, he knows just the right thing to say and I felt better before going to sleep. I guess I needed a reminder that it's not anything that can be controlled. And that he, my best friend, was by my side going through this with me. Love him!
So I'll check back in if/when the witch shows!
pomegranate / 3595 posts
@nicole112: so sorry for this news. Big hugs sweetie!
@organicmama: hugs to you too! I hate those last few days when you are pretty sure AF is on the way but you keep getting tempted into false hope. I am so glad you and DH are such a good team through this.

CD: Don't know
Cycle #: 13
TTC #: 2
POAS date: Don't know yet, waiting to use opks and then decide
Backstory: Have done 12 months of ttc for baby #2, got pregnant at the 12 month point but miscarried at 6 weeks. Bleeding stopped last week so back on the ttc journey. Going to give it another 3 months before getting referred to a fertility clinic (which is hard to think about because lo1 was a surprise while I was on the pill so I'm hating my body at the moment)
Plan this month: I wasn't going to use opks but I've decided I will. The doctor suggested taking this month off but I'd rather not.
Favorite thing about the fall: Spring has just started here and I love all the new growth (pretty flowers, baby animals etc)
Good luck every one!

@organicmama: how long are your cycles normally? Will you test again?

@mrsstar: I'm sorry for your loss
@crystal: usually my cycles are 30 or 31 days. Today is cd 32. Last month (clomid cycle #1) my cycle was 30 days. I still didn't take a test this a.m. Just couldn't do it. I'm sure AF will come today... ???

@Crystal: love your positivity, but hope you won't even need the RE with 2 more attempts b/w now & then!
@LindsayInNY: best of luck on your recent IUI
@MamaCate: I have been feeling like stepping away, too... I sulk & lurk for a bit & then remember that you all get exactly the same range of feelings I do
@organicmama: yay for wonderful hubbies to talk us back off the edge, huh? That will get you two far on this journey. Hope AF stays away.
Lots of luck to everyone else, too!
I'll post my update later today or tomorrow, probably... Been waiting to see what the heck my body is doing with a jump from low fert to peak fert this past weekend. No idea when I actually ovulated this cycle til I get another temp or two, or when/if I'll poas or just wait for AF.
kiwi / 693 posts
@organicmama: your husband sounds so sweet. I'm sorry you are still in limbo land, those last few days really are the worst. Hope you get an answer one way or the other soon!
@MrsStar: I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. And FWIW, doctors usually say to take a cycle off just for dating purposes. My RE said we could start back trying right away if we wanted (I just wasn't ready until now). Good luck!

@Marfi: oh no! You went from never ending cycle to super short one? How frustrating! Big hugs!
clementine / 794 posts
Well it's longer. My first cycle after my super long cycle was 15 days this last one was 21 days. Hopefully the next will be 28!

@Marfi: oh, you poor thing... That would be so hard to plan for! I'd want to monitor every day of my cycle somehow. fx for a 28d cycle for you next time!!

Cycle #: Don't want to think about it
TTC #: 1
POAS date: End of the month
Backstory: TTC since Nov, MC in April, nothing since
Was quite bummed about last month as our timing was awesome for once (DH lives in another city).
Plan this month: Get healthy - had fever episodes twice last month, doctor is confused.
Favorite thing about the fall: boots and pumpkin everything. This is the time of the year where I miss the US so much. There is not much pumpkin everything here in Germany! PSL finally arrived last year at our Starbucks (has not arrived this year yet though)

CD: 17
Cycle #: 8 (with a m/c at 6w in May in the middle)
TTC #: 1
POAS date: 9/16?
Backstory: I'm a late-in-the-game ttc'er for #1, being 41, but have been very hopeful we'll get pregnant (again) soon. We both have completed our RE initial assessments & while DH checked out great, I have some signs of DOR & had what I felt was a disappointing HSG with what may be mild blockage of 1 tube & possible adhesions on the other one, keeping the tube a little ways away from my ovary.
Plan this month (& beyond): Our RE suggests IUI for our next cycle (or 2-3, if necessary), & for the first time, I'm kind of looking right over our current cycle, towards the next when I can start Femara & then stim. This month & last I was surprised to O early (& thus not have good lead-up BDing) it looked like by my CBE OPKs jumping to peak fertility after low fertility earlier than I'd expected), so that's been frustrating & maybe yet another good reason to go to medicated cycles, I think. I'm also adding acupuncture & have another appt with my wonderfully intuitive fertility massage therapist soon. She sees twins for us, so I hope she's right (or close to right, even if it's only one baby) that we WILL be successful.
Favorite thing about fall: I like fall, but am totally bumming that summer is nearly behind me already... I have been too busy & didn't get nearly enough of summer fun! Do love breaking out the sweaters & boots, though...
cherry / 230 posts
@marfi: dang it! But yes, you are moving in the right direction!
So remember how I said I'm not a drinker??? Well maybe it's my new favorite thing! I LITERALLY saw 2 pregnant women on different streets of my neighborhood just as I was pulling in. So I u-turned, drove a block to the liquor store for wine and yes my friends, another one was in the parking lot there. I literally laughed out loud... and cried, too. AF is here today in full force. No more clomid. No more opks. I just can't keep doing all that. But I still want to stay in touch with y'all! No one else really understands
