Ugh.

I am feeling awful. She is fine, we opted to not take her to hospital and daycare has been texting me through the day saying she is great and having a normal day.

I was making dinner this morning before going to work (crockpot!) and she likes to "help". We started a silly habit of letting her stand on a chair at the counter when we cook, and always always keep a super close eye on her. She loves it and watches whatever we're doing, totally engaged and happy. She is pretty smart at knowing her boundaries up there, and today.....that went out the window. I was right beside her (like, we were essentially touching) and she side stepped that bit too much, and off she went, legs under her off the side she went legs/bum/back landed and with the momentum her head hit the floor.

She cried the moment she hit and I picked her up right away and she snuggled right in. Some big alligator tears and then got over it about a minute later.

Ugh. Telling daycare when I dropped her off sucked, but calling DH was AWFUL. I still don't even want to see him later when they get home from work (he picks her up).

I know better, but it's one of those things that you do until something does wrong (and she pays the price )
