Vent/Advice needed!! So we planned DS's birthday party in February, the day after his actual birthday. I just text my best friend (since 5th grade!!) and wanted to give her a text "save the date" before mailing out invites to make sure she can come and help out. Turns out she has a familial obligation (planned 5 months ago) that day. urghhhh we are both super upset! Doesn't sound like something she can get out of. She is my best friend and a part of LO's life - I don't want her to miss it and I'm considering changing the date just for her! Even though the photographer and and venue are booked - they haven't charged us yet (they wait until closer to the day).

What would you do? Change the date for one person and try to work it out with the date-sensitive items (venue, photog, invites) - or leave it as is and accept her not being able to come??
