P.S. When y'all say "going home outfits" - you do mean the ones you actually put them in to wear in the car seat and stuff right? Or did you buy a pretty/cute outfit just for pics the day they went/came home?

This is what my little guy wore home in August. I loved his little shoes.
I put it on him before we left for pictures and left it on him that evening until bedtime.

I bought a gorgeous Hanna Anderson cable knitted wool one piece for way too much money, but I'm afraid it's going to be way too big. It was only sold in 0-3M, and I couldn't find anything like it in newborn sizing.

This wasn't the outfit we bought to go home, but it ended up being an abnormally cold day in October, so we went for warmth over cuteness!

This ended up being her coming home outfit. It wasn't planned, in fact the outfit I picked out ended up being her first outfit in the hospital because it's the first one DH found. I was so exhausted, I didn't care. In fact, I haven't even thought of it again until now -- which is weird because I spent so long planning for it beforehand!
Notice we didn't even put it on right! Lol!

@shopaholic: yup it was newborn and it was a little too big! He was 7lbs11oz at birth and I think 7lbs4oz when we left the hospital. I ended up buying more nb clothes because 0-3 didn't really fit until 4 weeks old or so.

No pics but we went for warm and easy with a zip up sleeper. His head was so big and wobbly I'm glad we weren't trying to put a onesie on him!

@shopaholic: No, that was taken by hospital photographers the day after she was born. The hat was given to us by one of the volunteers that makes hats for all the new babies.

This is from my son 5 years ago... I didn't take a good posing pic, lol. He had been in the NICU for 15 days, so I don't think really planned ahead, just grabbed whatever.
I still am unsure about what to pack for this one, but I'll wait til after my shower to look at my options in her stash!
