I did put a few of my closer out of town friends and family on the list. If they can't come, they can't come. I don't expect gifts, I just want to see them there. Whether it looks like a gift grab or not, I'm not sure, but it's definitely not my intention!

I did, even though I knew they couldn't come. More of wanting them to feel included.

I did because I felt like they would be hurt if they didn't get an invite at all. Some out of towners surprised me and did make it!

So I had a dilemma yesterday....I work in a small building that has 6 women. I've become friend with two, in which we've gotten together outside of work. I only invited one to my shower and now I'm wondering if I should've invited them all to avoid the" why did she get invited and not the rest of us" or just any sore feelings. I would rather invite than not invite and upset anyone. Too add, my shower is 2.5 hours away from home so realistically most won't come anyways but isn't it the thought that counts?? I hope it doesn't seem gift grabby, no my intentions at all!! Why donyou think?

@Foodnerd81: I hear ya! I asked them all for their address And felt a bit awkward. But Id rather invite than piss anyone off in the building because one got invited and not the rest. I live in a small town so I think it's better to be nice, ya know. I just hope they don't feel obligated to buy a gift because I sent them a invite. Eek....
