What did you get whoever hosted your baby shower?
My sister and SIL are throwing mine, so i'm trying to think of some kind of thank you/aunt gift and need ideas. (It'll be their first niece/nephew)

@MrsTiz: what about a "my aunt & I" picture frame and a girl spa day with the two of them?

I brought the hostess (my friend) a dozen gourmet sugar cookies from a local bakery. She has kids, so I thought it would go over well with the family, plus they are HUGE and delicious.

Ugh, I failed. I haven't gotten 'em anything yet (mom and sister)... I'll follow along and maybe steal a few ideas.

If they are spa people, mani-pedi are always great, even taking them out to lunch as a thank you can be so nice.

My aunt hosted my NJ shower (and has FOUR KIDS under 5!) so I got her a $100 gift card to Shop Rite. My friend and SIL hosted in Indy, well, kind of. My SIL said she'd help and did nothing. Didn't bring food, helped a little with decorations- I had gotten my friend a $50 LUSH gift card and my SIL some nail polish, but ended up giving it all to my friend, and then sent her a $50 Target GC afterwards because I realized HOW MUCH she had done all on her own and felt that the polish/LUSH wasn't enough. I ended up just giving a thank you card to my SIL. I hosted her shower and did tons/spent a lot of $ and she never got me a hostess gift, so I didn't feel badly at all. DH actually asked me to NOT give her a gift because he was upset at how much she made our friend do.
I tried to make the gifts personal to what the hosts need/like.

@Mrs Spoon: Our closest one is almost 2 hours away, so i've never stepped foot in one!

@mrstiz Oh no! That will not work then. Probably it would be better for my budget tho if our Nordstrom's was 2 hours away.
My backup plan was a spa GC or a GC to Lululemon.

I made chocolates and put them in a cute little container with a poem!

A bottle of her favorite wine and a target gift card. I was going to do a mani/pedi gift card but she lives in the middle of nowhere and had no idea what salon to get it for. Plus she loves target.
