Because it's incredibly beautiful out, work is slow, and I'm bored.
How much is reasonable to expect to spend pp for a bridal/couple's shower / engagement party if you're hosting it at a restaurant? And, of course, yes to booze!
If you've thrown one recently, how much did you spend pp? Did you have to pay a venue rental fee? Meal or just light apps? Alcohol?

I threw DH a surprise party for his 40th at a restaurant.
I chose a restaurant that had a back bar (away from the main bar) that we could reserve mid afternoon when they're not busy anyway. No rental fee that way.
I think we spent about $8-10 for heavy apps.
Instead of supplying all the alcohol (it was right after we got married. We'd just given them a LOT of free alcohol!) I worked out a discount/happy hour deal so people wouldn't have to pay full price for drinks.
