What signs did you have that let you know your period is returning? I noticed that today I'm having lots of stringy discharge. I'm almost 8 weeks PP.

Hmmm.... nothing that alerted me to it's impending arrival at the time. In hindsight, though, I think I had some MAJOR PMS. As a result of all the hormones going crazy, no doubt.

In hindsight, I noticed a significant dip in my supply and I was a raging B because of PMS. Then I woke up to a major period.

Damn... AF is definitely on her way.. Major PMS and my supply does seem like it's lower

Cramps, dip in supply, extra CM. AF came back at 4.5 months PP even though we were EBF.

I had cramps and moodiness at 7 months PP but it didn't return until 10 months PP

Total tmi, but I had an unusually large glob of ewcm that looked like clear solid jelly about two weeks before AF. I didn't know what it was and googled it, only to find out that that is what some people's ewcm looks like. I guessed that maybe I was ovulating and to keep a lookout in about 2 weeks. Sure enough, 2 weeks later, AF showed her jerk face....16 months postpartum.
