That you received?
Mine came from D, and was only semi-serious: Merlin Batman! He still laments that I said no
Runner up was also from D, pretty seriously, and which I legit considered for a day or two: Maple!

DH watches Grey's Anatomy, and last week they suggested "Agamemnon". That's all I thought of when I saw this thread.

@redsmarties: Ha, that's funny, my coworkers were talking about that episode yesterday and Agamemnon was suggested to me as a possible future baby name
I had completely forgotten that until just now!

MIL wanted us to name DD Zendaya....which is totally pretty in its own way but I would never name my child that. DH said Rupert Motorcycle for a boy lol but he was joking (i hope
)

I know a baby Maple actually. They call her May. I also know someone who jus gave their baby boy the middle name Danger. His last name is Fish. Danger Fish...ack.
DH likes the name Daphne for a girl which seemed rather silly to me but I know one of those, too!

A drunk guy in New Orleans said I should name my baby Phillip after his even drunker friend...and call him Flip for short, haha. I actually considered it for a minute, I mean, what if it was fate?

I had a dream that Gary Oldman suggested we name our son Sirius. In my dream, I ran into him on the street (cuz at the time he was IRL filming in Philly) and told him that we had just gotten a cat and named her Padfoot (true). He pointed to my bump and asked if we had a name for him, and I said no, and he told me we should name him Sirius.

DH says Roger, to which I object big time. Once we ran into a mom at Target who said,, "Roger, honey come here..." Her son looked like Cousin Eddie's kid. I told DH we should specially reserve the name for our first dog

Taylor. I'm a ridiculously huge Taylor Swift fan, I even went to see her in concert when I was 39 weeks pregnant with my son (yeah, that was crazy) and everyone from my MIL to my co-workers thought I should use it. But as much as I love T-Swift, unisex names are just not my style.
This time around my MIL keeps suggesting 'L' names because her kid's names both start with the same letter and I guess she thinks I should do the same. No offense to anyone who likes to matching first letter thing, but again, it's just not my style, I kind of hate it to be honest! Hopefully she lets that go soon, because no matter how many times I tell her that we're not using another L name, she keeps on going.

Watermelon.
@lovehoneybee: I just looked up Merlin to see if it was a legit name. I kind of like it with our blander than bland last name. But no, it's 100% wizard.

My 5 yo niece wanted me to name DS robot so that he could go around saying I am a robot.
Now I just love clothing and other items with robots on it. My SIL got him a robot Easter basket from target.

Sea Bass...
Since this is the year of the horse according to the Chinese zodiac, DH thought it would be funny to suggest a "strong horse name", so he exclaimed, "Sea Bass!" Except he meant "Sea Biscuit" (like the movie). We nearly died laughing...
And then we decided we liked the name Sebastian for a boy... and he said that "Sea Bass" could be a nick name, HAH!

My dad suggests that every baby be named either Willie Mays, or Wilhelmina Mays.
DH has some gems but I can never remember them.

My dad suggested Colvin... for our girl.... no idea where he came up with that lol (I think maybe it's an irish name? He'd suggested several other "good irish names" like colleen and meghann (in the "true irish spelling")).

@lovehoneybee: @Corduroy: My grandfather's given name was Merlyn Earl. No one ever called him that though - he went by a nickname of his last name.

My husband used to joke that we'd name our dd after him, so Kevina Josephina. He was definitely mostly joking. Now that she's here and is his mini-me, I'll jokingly call her Kevina sometimes

@coopsmama: @birdofafeather: I think it's a cute name, and we did legit consider it for a bit, but ultimately it didn't meet all of our criteria so it was cut from the list

I didn't really get any super crazy ones, but my stepMIL suggested Bernice to my SIL. BERNICE!
