This past week my skin has gotten really sensitive. Every time I get a small red mark - like brushed my hand up against a branch or the wall or something - it gets like itchy and lil red dots around it. Anyone have anything like that during pregnancy?

My sister had PUPP at the end of both of her pregnancies, it was like having the chicken pox! She had itchy red dots all over her body.
How far along are you?

Almost 24 weeks. I have a drs appt Tuesday and it's not bad enough to go in early for but def annoying.

I had PUPPP and it is totally miserable. What you are describing doesn't sound like it. It usually starts on the belly or groin/upper thighs and is a red itchy rash. Even though it gets a little better or worse depending on the day and what you're doing for it, it's not in response to brushing up against something.
If it is PUPPP, though, I *highly* recommend Grandpa Pine Tar soap. It's cheap, and I found it at Whole Foods. I read about it online and assumed it was a gimmick, but it totally helped. -
@Chuckles: yeah it doesn't sound exactly like it. When I try to look it up it seems like skin writing, a different form of urticaria, is what it's most similar to. But a few random small rashes have popped up on my forearms and butt and I can't think of anything I'm doing differently now except for being pregnant. Were you sensitive to chlorine? I went swimming yesterday and was sooo itchy till I jumped in the shower.

@maysprout: I don't think I went swimming much while I was pregnant. Mine spread pretty slowly and started on my upper thighs, even though most people have it start on their bellies, so it could be starting elsewhere for you. I found that mine got a little better if I tried really hard not to scratch. I also recommend Sarna cream. It's cooling and helps at least temporarily. I bet both that and the soap would help even if it's not PUPPP and just itchy sensitive skin.

I had a weird estrogen rash on my left hand, arms, chest, and a few spots on my face. I'm @ 2 weeks PP and it's gone. My dr. blamed hormones.
