We leave for our "last trip before kids" on Tuesday. We're going to Europe, so it's going to mean a lot of time in airports and flying. I'm 7 weeks now and while I haven't thrown up yet, the nausea is getting noticeably worse daily. I've found, as many people say, that an empty stomach makes it worse, so I want to take plenty of snacks for traveling, but I haven't found any really good ones yet. Crackers settle my stomach, but aren't filling. Sandwiches sound nice, but deli meat isn't allowed.
So what would you recommend? I need some ideas that are fairly filling (I'm constantly STARVING), and not likely to get squished too easily in a bag. Also, I've found that sugar makes me super sick feeling, so non-sweets.
I traveled when I was about as far along as you and it was unpleasant, but I did eat as much as possible. I remember having plantain chips, ginger candies (although I switched to ginger pills eventually, they helped more), bananas, and granola bars. That is all I can remember, but if I hadn't been so strict with dairy (Paleo) I would have had yogurt and string cheese, too, because I LOVED anything cold. And plenty of water!
