So I was sat in the car at lunch yesterday when I heard over the radio that our former Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher had passed away following a stroke. I must admit I shed a tear... her legacy divided the nation, some hated what she stood for but dare I say, the majority, think she was a strong leader, stood up for what she believed and great example of what women can achieve. Ok so she had some controversial policies, but she did so much for our country during her 11yrs in charge and it's not as if she was evil by any stretch of the imagination!

Then articles like this one appear today: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2306165/Margaret-Thatcher-death-parties-The-Lefts-sick-celebration-Brixtons-streets.html

This is one of the saddest things I've read... despite what you think, this woman has just died, how can you be so disrespectful? I never feel like this, but I'm ashamed to be British right now
